You know the puzzle is content right? Like you don’t play Zelda and think the loot in the Dungeon is content ... maybe the word content has to be redefined or a new word has to be used. Because a puzzle is considered content.

It was announced as a pitch to buy the season pass that new content would be available each month or whatever the time frame. I didn't pay to work I payed to play. Nothing I am saying is entitled, entitled people want something for nothing! I payed in advance and for a Tuesday update with no direction and all the prehype not even an update on bungie site, I think its crap. I loved solving puzzles in the old games like res evil and zelda but it was to unlock hidden content that was free if you could get to it, not paid for and only unlocked if you do so!

Only in MGS is *! needed.

I get that so no !* needed.

Destiny 2 is not a puzzle game, and a puzzle that LOCKS CONTENT behind it is a rather stupid move.
-
I mean games are defining the medium everyday new - there are not just puzzle games - there are puzzle games with RPG mechanics or first person platformers .... I mean I remember there was this game called portal ...
-
That's completely different, portal is a puzzle rpg game and it's marketed as that. Destiny 2 is a shooter/rpg; not a puzzle game. The fact that it's been 18hrs now and no one has unlocked the next forge is a let down. A lot of people where hyped for this new forge only to sit and wait to have someone else unlock it for them. Even Datto called it quits and a lot of other destiny streamers are burnt out on how stupid they went about this puzzle.

Edited by DuBChiri2: 1/9/2019 10:45:39 AMYou don't buy the legend of Zelda to solve puzzles...you buy it to experience the game and it's classic but enjoyable combat style. That sensation of getting link more gear to be more powerful is what makes it desirable to players because there's that feel of progression. The puzzles are part of that gameplay and that's what you buy it for. With Destiny, loot IS the content no matter how you slice it. Anybody questioning why you play Destiny for the loot is like asking sonic fans why they like how he goes fast or how you don't watch comedy movies because of their story, but rather for enjoyment that should come from laughter. It's contradictory to the design of the game. We bought black armory for loot, loot we can't even touch fully right now because we have to wait for somebody to crack some stupid code and complete some other crap. That's not involving me at all considering I can't contribute to that and even a group of Destiny lovers couldn't do it at a successful rate. It's a waste of time and an insult to the people already getting sick of being given content like that. Comparing this puzzle to something like wraths for outbreak prime, at least it was optional and not something you had to do in order to continue. Puzzles are cool and all, but don't make them requirements to progress through the content when you can't solve it on your own. If a group of twitch streamers couldn't solve it within 6 hours, on a game meant to be simple, it is just too much. It was way too vague and convoluted, that's a stupid bad puzzle.

Correct, it is content, content for who, im not playing it now, and when i get chance to get on the content will be gone, because how i understand it, whoever finishes it unlocks it for eveyone, or am i wrong about that? Plus, this isnt Zelda, its Destiny, a looter shooter, and in Zelda you had to do the activity to progress even if you didnt figure it out yourself, you didnt arrive back home from work etc and, oh look, someone has already done it for me.
