IMO it does because all the attention Bungie has gotten since forsaken released. Just another theory...
Think about this for a moment. When the resent worlds first took place before the person won Bungie was too quick to announce that they will not ban gamers for the exploit that took place prior to that person that won. Next, someone made a post about all the cheating, account recoveries, paid carries that all of that is focused around streamers. One particular person that Bungie allowed to cheat for 4 years. The mods deleted his post. Later he posted it again, this time in less than a half a day it had over 2000 likes and hundreds of replies. The mods made sure it was buried that day. Post trending like that do not drop in a hart beat like that post actually did.
After that, 4 years later of barley doing anything about what I said a couple weeks afterwards Bungie announced they're going to ban gamers for bad connection. My theory is they are trying to stay out of that attention they have gotten so they can say "we don't help the streamers".
