You should hate yourself then, because very obviously you don't understand how a "community event" should be set up, and that's in a way that it's accessible for at least the major part of the community, and not a tiny fraction of them. Since you obviously have a hard time with clear and consequential thinking, I'll help you out on "accessible": It means that you can do it with a reasonable effort and time. Prime example: Whisper of The Worm quest, in case you still have problems with that level of abstraction and need a concrete example.
