SLI Performance worse than Single GPU ?

Hi, is it just me or is the SLI performance of Destiny 2 extremely bad ? When i run 2 1080 Ti in SLI, i struggle to maintain 60 fps at 4k with max settings and i get some kind of input lag. it's subtle but i can feel it. then, when i disable SLI, i get solid 60 fps at max settings without problem, and the input lag seems to be completely gone. Am I the only one experiencing this ?

  • I just noticed this problem too. I run two GTX1080ti's w/ a i7700k and I always felt like my performance in D2 was sub par, stutters, 70ish fps and slight input lag as well. I was playing Assassins Creed Odyssey which has no SLI support so I disabled SLI to play that game. Well I forgot to turn it back on a few days later and started playing D2 again and 5 minutes into playing I started wondering why my game was playing so smooth. I turned on the FPS counter and i was averaging around 120 fps. That reminded me I was still on one card. I've been trying to look around and figure out why performance would go down this sharply with one card but I've yet to find a solution. I've tried both Forced Frame 1 and 2 but neither showed any difference in performance for me, and I do have the drivers you mentioned in your later post from Dec 5th but there is actually another they released early January. As for now I'm just running the one card in D2 as that's the only way the game plays well. Any help would be appreciated.
