Joker's Wild - Enough Content?

I can't be the only one looking at the content release calender and noticing that Season of the Drifter looks like it will be extremely lacking. Don't get my wrong I hope it's gonna be great, but on paper it looks like there won't be much to keep players around. Concerns in a Vid: https://youtu.be/Mj_1T7P-Gg8 My Main Concerns: 1. No new raid- I think the reason black armory is still holding up so well is because of Scourge of the Past. It's an incredibly fun raid (although short) and it's an extremely replayable experience. The fact that we won't see one in joker's wild is not only disappointing, but concerning. Can the new content hold up? 2. Only "new" activity is an extension of Gambit- A great game mode but honestly one that most people have played quite a bit, to the point of being sick of. No other new activities, no other PvE endgame content. However you feel about forges in black armory it was at least an end game pve addition. We won't have anything like that as far as we know and can assume for joker's wild. 3. New quests will be extremely grindy- with the lack of more activities and a raid we can assume most of the content will be new quests. If that's all we're going to have besides a new Gambit mode we can infer that these quests will be extremely tedious and require lots of time or timegated. If the quests are an enjoyable grind then there won't be any complaints from me, but if they're extremely annoying like some of black armory's, then it won't be good. These are my main concerns. Do you have any concerns? I really hope I'm wrong and that Jokers Wild will keep me around, but I'm worried it won't be enough. People already say black armory doesn't have enough and this looks to have even less than black armory.

      • I am worried about the grind. I don't want stuff like the forge quests. I do not want RNG quests. I want things more like the pinnacle weapons quests, where you have a clear cut goal each time and know exactly what your progress is like. While I'm tired of Gambit, if they spruce things up a bit I'll easily come back. New maps, balance patches, mechanic changes, etc. That'll be enough for me. Overall, I paid for the annual pass, so this is just part two of three. I'm content with what I've gotten.

        • I'm really not looking forward to a gambit centric season. The last 4 full curse weeks I put about 2 hours a day into nothing but gambit and didn't get the servitor to spawn once. I'm kind of burned out on gambit .

          • If you think about it, one of the main concerns fo BA was that it was too dificult for many players right off the bat, assuming those players where already at 600 wich, apparently, many where still below that. I was 600 and playing a fairly consisten 2-3 hours a day, I recently hit 650. The new bumb will go up to 700 wich is awesome but if there whas a new raid already, you can bet a lot of people would rage as many may only be grinding forges recently. With Crucible, Gambit, Forges, the 4 raids we already have, and all the quests out there, plus whatever new quests we will be getting, I dont think we'll have to worry

                • It depends on what this extension to gambit is. Really it just seems like filler to give the raid and puzzle teams time to set up penumbra while keeping fans happy though.

                  • I'm not part of BUNGiE's Defense Force. -blam!- BUNGiE. This whole season pass, however, is slated to be "Content poor, activity rich". Only it's managing to be Content and Activity poor. If you expect nothing, you'll still be disappointed. Get ready for a least 4 more months of nothing.

                    • I think it's too early to tell. If the new Gambit mode is actually cool, I can see that being an acceptable alternative; like Crucible, I think people find value in modes that have a lot of replay value. I'm not a HUGE Gambit guy, but I'm willing to hope. It's also possible that the weekly quest will be something in-depth (more along the lines of the Shattered Throne than a story mission). If there are a few of those, that's pretty good content, and less repetitive/grindy than one raid.

                      • Tbh BA doesnt have much once you have all the exotics and the rolls you like on all the weapons. I am only running the forges twice a week for the powerfuls and thats it. Im back to playing Gambit which I was playing before Season 5 :)
