Joker's Wild - Enough Content?

I can't be the only one looking at the content release calender and noticing that Season of the Drifter looks like it will be extremely lacking. Don't get my wrong I hope it's gonna be great, but on paper it looks like there won't be much to keep players around. Concerns in a Vid: https://youtu.be/Mj_1T7P-Gg8 My Main Concerns: 1. No new raid- I think the reason black armory is still holding up so well is because of Scourge of the Past. It's an incredibly fun raid (although short) and it's an extremely replayable experience. The fact that we won't see one in joker's wild is not only disappointing, but concerning. Can the new content hold up? 2. Only "new" activity is an extension of Gambit- A great game mode but honestly one that most people have played quite a bit, to the point of being sick of. No other new activities, no other PvE endgame content. However you feel about forges in black armory it was at least an end game pve addition. We won't have anything like that as far as we know and can assume for joker's wild. 3. New quests will be extremely grindy- with the lack of more activities and a raid we can assume most of the content will be new quests. If that's all we're going to have besides a new Gambit mode we can infer that these quests will be extremely tedious and require lots of time or timegated. If the quests are an enjoyable grind then there won't be any complaints from me, but if they're extremely annoying like some of black armory's, then it won't be good. These are my main concerns. Do you have any concerns? I really hope I'm wrong and that Jokers Wild will keep me around, but I'm worried it won't be enough. People already say black armory doesn't have enough and this looks to have even less than black armory.

  • I think it's too early to tell. If the new Gambit mode is actually cool, I can see that being an acceptable alternative; like Crucible, I think people find value in modes that have a lot of replay value. I'm not a HUGE Gambit guy, but I'm willing to hope. It's also possible that the weekly quest will be something in-depth (more along the lines of the Shattered Throne than a story mission). If there are a few of those, that's pretty good content, and less repetitive/grindy than one raid.
