I cannot for the life of me remember a point in D2 where the quests, tasks, or reward for anything was actually exciting. Whisper was close. But the the catalyst made you do it 6 more times and it just became another grind.
I had hoped that The Draw would be the one, but alas it's another step N fetch with tedious hide and go - blam!- myself crucible steps.
Even the raids now are either ridiculous mechanics (last wish) or last 8 minutes like the latest attempt.
To exasperate the monotony, the loot pool is so shallow that every single endgame player is wearing only different shaders at this point and even those 80% look like Ray Charles played color roulette to pick the combos.
Was there some massive exodus of creative talent at bungie between d1 and D2 or is the franchise director the most out of touch tone deaf slacker on earth? Because at this point, Pokémon go has better loot for their game.
At this point, I don't want the season of the drifter. I don't want another week of barely story that consists of simple dialogue I can't interact with and step N fetch questing.
Just double to loot pool per class.
Triple the loot pool per weapon slot.
Veriety is the spice of life, and D2 is bran flakes right now.
