Well, to put it bluntly, the post-Forsaken roadmap thus far has been so idiotic it’s embarrassing they ever thought it was good enough to proceed forward with. That’s sort of Core Problem A.
Core Problem B is simply that a lot of the basic quality of life work the game needs, much of it mandated by the Year 2 changes, should not be a massive developmental or resource sink.
So, to significant degree, I’m not asking them to “pivot their roadmap”, I’m asking them to get their house in order and clean up their mess.
D2 has been light on quality replayable content since Day 1. It’s not a new problem. Conversely, a good deal of major QoL issues (Y2 weapon systems balance, random rolls balance, obsolescence of Year 1 gear and vendors, Masterwork Cores), are new problems they created, and had to know they were making because they were intrinsic to system changes they made.
