Does anyone like Countdown? I bring this up mostly because of the Thorn quest bringing a huge influx of people to competitive (myself included) and how often I see people return to orbit right as the match starts because they don't want to bother playing countdown (which also probably has to do with the lower kill counts in countdown making the grind for thorn slower) But still, I pose the question, do YOU like countdown???? Personally, I absolutely hate it. Speaking for myself and my entire friends list: no one likes countdown, not everyone completely hates it like I do, but I don't know a single player, in my clan, on my friends list, in my discord server who LIKES countdown. Out of about 200 hundred people that I've asked, not a single one has come forward and told me they liked it. Some people tolerate it, and think "it's fine I guess" but theres no one I know who has ever told me that they'd rather play countdown over any other PvP mode. And if I'm being honest, it's the entire reason I don't play comp, I don't even wanna risk the chance of having to play countdown. Here's the whole reason countdown sucks in my opinion. It's slow and the objective sucks. Making it one life is boring imo, it makes everyone play way more cautiously, survival is a bit similar in this regard, but atleast in that mode you can take big risks and have them pay off because the option to respawn is there. And the objective in countdown just sucks, I rarely have EVER seen the bomb detonate, I actually can't remember the last time I've seen that happen. And defusals are almost as rare. The game might as well just be a team deathmatch, just with revives instead of respawns. I think Destiny is just such a faster paced game than something like CSGO, and with so much more movement and "go in" that it just doesn't work. I'd love to see it get replaced or removed, and I think a lot of people would agree.
