Ok. Fun times ahead. Long post, broken up. Just letting off some potential for spinoff ideas.
Spoilers ahead. You have been warned.
[...]Three who have transcended their design. The first, an hourglass counting down with infinite patience. The second, a forgotten blade sharpened anew. And now, the Drifter.
Going to start with the fact the moment I heard the hourglass reference.
Well. That can only be the 3rd Spire reference from Trials of the Nine. Upon successfully completing a D2 TotN flawless victory card- you went to the 3rd spire.
That picture? There's a tiny bottle, like an hourglass, which is impossibly small and there is no way it could hold as much sand as it is constantly letting out. It falls through the overall blades and scatters to every direction.
If you want to go there? You need to get a flawless card when Trials returns. The 3rd spire fits the hourglass portion primarily because where you land in the cutscene? Is the original 3rd spire portal we found when it first came out.
As for the other things related to Orin and other topics? You should ideally also go look up the lore for the weapons on Trials weapons.
Trials weapons-
SR "The Long Walk"- An original conversation Orin had with nine ghosts.
Sub Adjucator- An unknown entity is speaking with the same nine ghosts referenced.
SG A Sudden Death- You spoke with nine deep-orbit minds (assumption is the ghosts although potential for warsats too). We heard what you asked. BUT THEY HAD QUESTIONS TOO. The lying robot no longer lies with others. Where is he?
That shotgun is potentially the nine ghosts communing with entities of multiple possibilities including Rasputin. It is assumed warminds, but I've never known Rasputin to lie to ghosts directly who also lost their guardians and he would definitely be looking at them with a curiosity to understand. Do you? I think it's actually Exo's attempting to lie to manipulate which have the bigger potential overall. But who's to say really? TBD.
AR Prosecutor- Our adventures have been tracked and this gun basically confirms it. The VOG, Court of Oryx, and other key areas including an Equinox and the Praedyth mission (A Parallax line in the lore)
and "OF STARS OF THE NINE" at the end.
PR Relentless- 3 keys are needed for some greater purpose. Lore tab instructs to find and seek. It also states everything dies. We are no exception. We're immortals they will say. Correct. And yet, who dies more then they do? NONE. Only when they accept this can they be born anew. BE RELENTLESS
My guess is the Nine's association with the mysterious keys from Warmind are connected. This also aligns Rasputin with the preoccupation he has shown. He's been trying to shield humanity for some time based on the lack of overall notice he has given us. The ghosts and Nine would be a bigger concern imo.
HC Judgment- Demands us as guardians develop (key word)power through conflict with one another (crucible and Trials) and to seek judgment (3rd spire/lighthouse). They also mention this as one of the keys due to the line "SHEISNOTREADY" and we are the ones who sought them out/"Found us in some
small way” which points at her now finally communing with us. Or it could be the Exo Stranger at which time- TBD.
Scout "The End"- Reference to the red war, the traveler awakening, and us getting their attention further. Same question though- If not us? Then why are they interested in us? What kept their gaze before us? Most likely answer: The Darkness. That's why they are curious about Traveler Chosen with the skill to answer the call. Hence the 3rd spire. Hence the Lighthouse. Hence all of the subtle, but noticeable Osiris references (am I the only one hearing Brother Vance saying how amazing Osiris is? Because I’m also telling him to shut it in my head.)
Sidearm Swift verdict- Judgment is final. Understanding will drive you mad. When they are ready? They will take it from us and we will be glad for it.
My guess- The Nine know that the subtle choice between intelligence, wisdom, and strength will need all three in equal balance. But intelligence can reflect newer and older potential whereas wisdom is the experience from the potential.
So we'll see how they intend to provide players with the strength to choose between the two and rest their judgment.
Just so you all know- the weapons are scattered across the layers of matches you need to win and each time I got the chance to visit the emissary referred to the 3rd spire is the "end of all things".
So I'm guessing the Nine's actual realm is in the equinox squarely. Or potentially elsewhere honestly. Either way. Something had their attention before, they are selecting us for something, and offering a choice at that place?
The only thing I can say so far about all of this is the Hourglass is clearly the timer and the potential for it to be Osiris (fans favorite, but not my guess) or more importantly to the Lore being the Exo Stranger stating, "soon" on that rifle... she does have a lot of patience... and it would explain the connection to the warminds/Orin. She's the clue tying it all together.
The second, a forgotten blade sharpened anew.
Nokris lore finally pays off. There are a few possibilities here. Malok, son of Savathun and originally killed by us in the April Update of Destiny 1 or Nokris, son of Oryx. All the Lore and communing he has done would be the closest for resurrection, but he utilizes the blade of Fire and Resurrection who was not killed for doing so and not feeding his worm to the full extent due to Xol being on Mars and needing his general to also feed him. He’s also not the oldest to be able to challenge the capabilities of the Darkness, but willingly accept his role as the outcast which was the clue Warmind DLC was trying to tell us. Xol is truly the weakest, but he is also the one with the most minds to call upon. Savathun is the trickster who can infiltrate and utilized a Thrall (Malok), named it her son, who then used the feeding process to go all the way to the Prince status we saw. The Master of Puppets, but she is not the strongest either. You don’t want strength like Oryx displayed in the Raid and Savathun is more of a manipulation expert then pure intelligence. That leaves a being which has been forgotten from D1, revived to assume the throne due to his control of the blights, and being the son of the greatest manipulator the Hive have ever seen. My guess is 100% must be Malok, revived, son of Savathun.
The Dreaming City magic clues and functions of it are also pointing not at Savathun primarily, but a component we haven’t seen except for when Crota showed it. Not Oryx. Even Malok showed independent will and thought as opposed to Oryx who clearly was stuck in the pact, studying too much into the Deep, and had to “Take” himself to avoid death by guardians and the worm inside.
The obvious Crota, son of Oryx, is also another choice since it was him who let the Vex into the Hive homeworld and was banished for it.
Feel free to dissect and quote away.

I interpreted this completely differently, I believed the emissary was telling us about two being's who have transcended their design or whatever The hour glass referenced someone related to the vex The sword referenced someone related to the hive My theory is Osiris or Prydeth for the Vex, and Toland or Eris for the sword
