Now let's begin![/i] Jaren Ward: Hey kid. Long time no see. Malex: You know why I'm here. Jaren: Yep. Her name is Rika right? Malex: Yeah, I know I'm more than powerful enough to save her, I just need to know how. Jaren: Let's take a look then (waves hand in the air and shifts the scene) [i] About one year Ago, in the Tower[/i] Rika stared in horror at the Malfeasance in the display case. It's purple glow grew brighter, it began to float out of the display case. It flew through the air and into Rika's hand. Her eyes widened with terror and the purple light moved up her arm. She wanted to scream, wanted to call out for Malex, but the Malfeasance silenced her. Her eyes began to glow purple and scatterhorn armor surrounded her body. She stood and a sinister grin crept across her face. Dredgen Void: Let's have some fun... [i] On the other side of the tower living quarters[/i] Malex sat down on his bed and sighed. He rubbed his eyes and yawned. It had been a long day and he was tired, but at least he found out what was going on with Rika. Suddenly the tower's scramble alarm went off. Malex's ghost appeared. Peacemaker: There's an attack on the tower. Top floor. Malex: (sighs) Alright, transmat me up there. [i]Tower: Top Floor[/i] Dredgen Void shot another guardian. She laughed as she fanned off rounds from her Malfeasance, this was fun. She went to reload when a certain Gunslinger tackled her from the side. They rolled to a stop and stood. Malex: Alright pansie, drop the gun or I drop you. Dredgen Void raised her head, her purple eyes glowed with ferocious anger Malex: Rika? Dredgen Void: I told you she's gone. My name is Dredgen Void! She charged and tackled him with so much force they went flying over the tower's guardrail and soaring through the air. They fought as they fell, trading blows and shots. The two hunters double jumped and landed in the city. Malex rolled to a stop and looked around, there were civilians everywhere. Dredgen Void stood. Dredgen Void: Oh what fun! So many lives, so little time. She drew her Malfeasance to fire into the crowd, but before she could get a shot off the thunder of The Last Word echoed out through the streets. The Malfeasance was knocked out of her hand and she turned. Smoke billowed out of the barrel of The Last Word in Malex's hand. Dredgen Void may be fast but she was possessing Rika, and Rika was a Nightstalker as well as the woman Malex loved. And Malex was a VERY pissed off Gunslinger. Malex: Let. Her. Go. Now. Dredgen Void laughed her maniacal laugh Dredgen Void: Or what!? You'll shoot me!? Malex: (ignites Golden Gun) I'm seriously thinking about it. Maybe blasting that gun over there will kill you and free Rika. (motions to the Malfeasance on the ground) Dredgen Void's eyes widened in terror, Dredgen Void: You wouldn't dare... Malex: Oh wouldn't I? (Points Golden Gun at Malfeasance) Dredgen Void: No...NO!!! She screamed and put her hands on her head the glow in her right eye began to fade. Rika: Malex? Please end it. End me. Dredgen Void: No, I've waited too long for this!!! Rika: Malex I can't take it anymore. If you don't end it now she takes over. Please. Malex: (pulls hammer back and aims) I...can't. (lowers Golden Gun) I can't hurt you Rika. Rika: (smiles) I know. I love you Malex. Dredgen Void grabs Malfeasance and completely takes over Rika. Dredgen Void: Well now, that was heart throbbing wasn't it. I'll see you later, Gunslinger. (Vanishes in a cloud of smoke) [i]Present Day, at the Shard[/i] Jaren shifted the scene back to the present day. Malex: That's when I swore to myself I would find her and save her. Jaren: You blame yourself, don't you? Malex: (nods) I should've never let her keep Sevestapol's Malfeasance. I should've seen her corruption coming. Maybe I even should've ended it on the day Void took over. It's all my fault. Jaren: Oh what a perfect load of crap. Malex: What? Jaren: I can't believe you're blaming yourself! What happened to Rika is on Sevestapol. She was the one who put who knows what into that Malfeasance. This was her plan all along! There was no way you could've known and when you did find out you did everything you could to save her! Heck, one year later and you're still at it! Malex: But... Jaren: No buts kid. I'm right and you know it. Malex: I guess so. Thanks, I guess. Jaren: Yeah no problem kid. Look, the only reason Dredgen Void exists is because of that Malfeasance. You destroy that, you destroy her and Rika is free. It'll take a Golden Gun blast right up the barrel to do it, but it can be done. Malex: Yeah...alright then Jaren, I think I got it. Just one more thing, where do I find her? Jaren: Oh she'll find you. You make her come to you and that will give you an advantage. And I think I know just the place. [i]Five Minutes Later, on Dwindlers Ridge[/i] Malex's brown wildwood cloak fluttered in the breeze. Jaren Ward had told him what he had to do and he knew how to do it. All he had to do was wait. Dredgen Void trensmatted on the ridge in front of him, her hand was on her Malfeasance. Dredgen Void: I'm here to kill you, Gunslinger Malex: Bring it on...
