Continued Enhancement Core and Mod Component Discussion
Hey all,
A few weeks back, we talked about Enhancement Cores coming from Gunsmith bounties in the [url=https://www.bungie.net/en/News/Article/47706]TWAB[/url]. I wanted to give a quick update on this, as it also involves Mod Components, which have been a topic of discussion as well. Please note- this is all still in development for Season of Opulence, and could change.

DMG, You have to know at this point that 5k comments but no Bungie response has horrible optics for your company, right? I would rather see a lip service response about “listening” and “delivering feedback to the investment team” at this point at least. It it would feel more like you value customer feedback more than just silence does.

Bungie...remove the requirement for Enhancement Cores. As it stands right now this system is a joke! In all of Year 2 I have only Masterworked 3 Weapons, let alone a single piece of Armor. Either remove them completely, or have them be a guaranteed reward along with the activity reward, for every activity!

There is no continued discussion. Discussions normally lead to more than one party sharing thoughts and ideas. Hopefully to come to a balanced agreement. A compromise that suits the needs of both parties. What we have here is the dev team who thinks they can do no wrong. Then the community who apparently think the dev team is clueless. Hence the reason for all of the hate spewing core posts. These posts started about eight months ago as mild mannered suggestions. Feedback as to what the community thinks and even a few hundred different suggestions on how to fix it. Here we are today with the same broken system and the community getting smaller and smaller. I don't agree with a lot of things posted here. But this has become the largest complained about issue. It has more postings than the jacked up matchmaking system of Gambit and Crusible combined. At what point do the needs of the many(all the community) finally out weigh the wants of the few (dev team). Just saying

Bungie I’m jumping on the remove core train. With this, we also need infusion completely removed. That way people can understand the difference between meaningful infusion vs waiting months to get the armor piece they want to drop with the level and roll they want.

8 RepliesOne thing nobody talks about but bothers me the most... My clan has been dedicated to helping people who’d otherwise find endgame inaccessible. While they all matter, no one has ever mentioned that a lot of these people are first-responders - firefighters, EMS, police, all branches of military, park rangers, coast guard, the list goes on. Maybe it’s easy to not care about some man or woman working 2+ jobs, or some trucker who can only play on Saturdays [b]in his cab[/b], but if you’re willing to disregard people who risk their lives for you - and I don’t care where you are in the world, if you’re reading this, they’re near you - then you don’t deserve their service let alone sacrifice. What makes it even worse is the fact the these people are the least likely to ever complain!

How about remove them from the cost once a weapon or armor piece has been masterworked? Still costs a lot to masterwork, still a meaningful and impact decision, but once I've made that decision and put the cores into masterworking the gear I like using, then I can infuse it with glimmer and shards so I can continue using it

Continued discussion about cores. Yet you guys ignoring the majority of the players. For fks sake, just remove them or at least make spider sell them for 10 shards a pop without it increasing every time you buy 1. How is this still a discussion??? Why do I have the feeling it wont be removed, until maybe the last year right around the corner where D3 gonna be announced and instead of us showing them we wont take that BS more ppl gonna end up playing then praising them. Listen bungie , it's simple, it's easy, just either remove them or add them as rewards in almost every activity. For example every 5 pvp matches you get 7, or when you lvl up to brave or heroic or w.e. add them at the end of strikes, you get 1 to 3 per run, at them to Nightfall, first time doing it on each character you get 10, after that it follows strike drops 1 to 3, and raids you get either 3 per encounter or 10 at the end of raid runs. Add them to gambit, regular gambit every match you get 2, prime 1 to 3. You get the idea.....how hard is it to do that? Why must you guys add ridiculous grind and boredom to your chase. How hard is it to add them to activities that ppl play. Why must week after week you see same threads and we get the same bullshii response. Honestly the only reason I'm even backing this up because I lost a ton of friends, and now I'm just hopping from one clan to another to see whose active and who can run stuff. I have enough cores to infusion w.e I want but not enough to full masterwork at least 1 full set. I swear out of the whole week playing, whether its pvp or pve I come across maybe 1 person whose either half way masterwork or full set. Theres hardly anyone I see that's full masterworked their gears and weapons unless it's a pinnacle weapon. Doesnt that show you that you need to do something.

Jesus, enough already. Remove them and be done with it. I'm having to play with ugly armor and bad guns just to get higher.
