Continued Enhancement Core and Mod Component Discussion
Hey all,
A few weeks back, we talked about Enhancement Cores coming from Gunsmith bounties in the [url=https://www.bungie.net/en/News/Article/47706]TWAB[/url]. I wanted to give a quick update on this, as it also involves Mod Components, which have been a topic of discussion as well. Please note- this is all still in development for Season of Opulence, and could change.

2 RepliesI’m going to keep posting this. Remove cores from infusion. Improve the masterwork system. The masterwork system has so much potential to actually enhance the player experience, just use your imagination. Cores in infusion do absolutely nothing for the game, with the exception of pushing players/customers to stop using this “service”.

This is [b]not[/b] what we want. This is not a fix to the problem. This does not solve the issue. Just remove Enhancement Cores altogether. They were already tedious enough when it was just to Masterwork a weapon, something for the really grindy to try and achieve, but nothing normal players who like to play other games had to do. Now I'm lucky if I can infuse a few things a week. The Spider bounties are completely pointless--do you really expect people to spend hours grinding for those stupid fragments, then hours more waiting for HVTs to spawn in? For ONE core? How about Y1 masterworked items that only give one core? They still took, what, 10 or whatever to actually masterwork? Why isn't there a better return on those in the rare instances we get one? Please, just stop stubbornly insisting this makes the experience better. It doesn't. Thousands of people have expressed in no uncertain terms that they do not want these mechanics in place, that they do not help the game, that they make the experience far less rewarding. I love Destiny, always will, but this sort of thing is really frustrating. In D1 you ignored everyone who didn't play Crucible and balanced toward that meta without care. Now you don't even care THAT much. When are you guys going to give us what we really want?

Bottlenecking players into using gear they don’t want to during endgame in a looter-shooter is bad. Infusing gear is not a “meaningful decision”, it’s an artificial roadblock to progression used to bloat playtime. This game, for me, has become a chore to level up, with important resource gathering being a glorified to do list that takes me out of the activities I want to play. I don’t like the decision to keep masterwork* cores as infusion material, and don’t play the game nearly as much as I used to. That is my feedback, agree or disagree. For the people who still adamantly argue that having masterwork* cores as part of infusion costs, can you complete the following statement? Enhancement cores should not be removed from the game because it would create the problem of __________________.

Perhaps you should look again at the enhancement core poll, the majority of players just want them removed from infusion, I really don't understand why NO ONE at your team can clearly see this and just do what the community has asked!! I seriously cannot understand whty this is so difficult to get through to anyone there, stop with the bullshit of boring bounties only giving 1 core at a time, this is not what the community has asked for!!

IF you are so ignorant to the player base and are so adamant in this nonsense than you could at least lower the cost... weapons should be tasks for some levels mats for other levels and use cores for level 6 and 10 Level 1 = 3000 glimmer Level 2 = 100 kills level 3 = 3000 glimmer + 1 shard + mats Level 4 = 100 kills + 25 precision damage + 1 shard + mats Level 5 = 3000g + 2 shards + mats + mats Level 6 = 150 kills + 25 pvp final blows + 2 cores + mats level 7 = 3000g + 3 shards + mats + mats + mats Level 8 = 200 kills + 25 precision kills + 25 PvP final blows + mats Level 9 = 3000g + 5 shards + mats + mats + mats + mats Level 10 = 8 cores ( just a quick idea im sure there are better routes to do this) all legendary should only need 1 core to infuse 2 if its a blue 0 if you are infusing an exotic exotics should require 2 cores if a legendary is the source of infusion 3 for blue 0 for exotic.
