Thank you for the update and actually providing something back in this discussion. However bounties we are going to have to spend yet more time wasting just to get a small handful of cores. (it will be less than 7 probably let's be honest). Is not the answer. It never was and never will be. I could write a long and explanitory post about why cores in infusion are bad but at this point you've all had seven months of listening to logical, well reasoned arguments and even suggestions on how to change the system. But at this point I just can't be bothered. So... REMOVE CORES FROM INFUSION. It is LITERALLY that simple.

  • It all depends on the number of "daily" bounties. If it matches the rest of the game, there will likely be 5 daily bounties, 2 weeklies. That's a total potential of 37 cores per week. If people need cores that badly, this should actually be a good change for them. Don't want to do the bounties? Then dont. But they are likely going to be completed through the course of regular game play anyway. Just puck them up and play, not as bad as everyone thinks it is.

  • Agreed, and to be fair, at this stage we also dont know how 'dedicated' they will be. If bungie is so insistant on us having to run additional bounties for these gods damned cores then the should be something along the lines of: "get 50 precision kills in any activity" / "generage 20 orbs of light" / "get 10 grenade kills in any activity" Then thats just about accetable. What wouldnt be is bounties exclusive to an activity, say crucible or gambit so somebody who avoids the crucible like the plague and only touched gabit because they had to will miss out on a significant proportion of the bounties. They need to be bounties that tick off in literaly any activity. Not ones that force us to go to a place, wait for gods knows how long and then kill an ad. However of all the options I would rather they just get cores gone from infusion, its limiting and artifical time padding. Keep the mats, keep the shards and glimer. those are incentive enough to make me consider my options. But Cores. Sorry. that was the nail in the coffin for me. Destiny was a game I loved but the past 18 months have just been slowly souring what was once sweet nectar and the Cores have just about done it.

  • If there are that many dailies, and they aren't a hysterical amount of Glimmer per bounty (like, say, 10,000 glimmer per bounty... which is likely), than your point is well taken. It'll break the heck out of Masterworking, but Bungie doesn't seem to care.

  • Guarantee that the bounties cost are gonna be pretty even to what most other bounties cost I the game. Definitely not 10k

  • In the fairness of argument you have no idea if the bounties will be easy enough that they just complete as you do other things. We only know generally what the rewards will be, not what will be required for completion. Also this only helps people who have the time to log in every single day and play long enough to complete the daily before it expires the next day. Whih is not the main group of people that seem to have an issue with the infusion system in the first place. Generallt if someone can only log in a couple nights a week why does the system need to be in such a way that they must choose between being the highest light level they can be and using the weapons that fit their playstyle and the armour that meets their aesthetic. I don't see how it hurst or has anything to do with players who have kore time to play the game. Surely they would want a kore indepth system of investment than just slapping a scarce resource on a game mechanic and calling it a day. If it was that easy anyone could make a game that has impact.
