I think people forget about the etheric light shit we had to grind prison of Elders for to Infuse in d1........

Completely different. Etheric light took your weapons/armor to MAX light with ONE infusion. Ex. I stopped playing when I was 663. If I had Etheric light, I could make my Ikeleos shotgun 700 with one infusion. That's a lot easier to swallow than having to burn 2-3 cores everytime you climb 5 points in power for that weapon/armor slot.

I haven't forgotten. But what happened with that again? Oh yeah, people hated it and Bungie was forced to change it (and rework the entire leveling system to not be so -blam!-ing stupid)!
