Continued Enhancement Core and Mod Component Discussion

Hey all, A few weeks back, we talked about Enhancement Cores coming from Gunsmith bounties in the TWAB. I wanted to give a quick update on this, as it also involves Mod Components, which have been a topic of discussion as well. Please note- this is all still in development for Season of Opulence, and could change.
• Originally announced in the TWAB, these bounties would cost Gunsmith materials. This has been changed to Glimmer. • There will be multiple daily bounties to complete, each rewarding one enhancement core and two mod components • There will be two weekly bounties to complete. These will each grant one enhancement core, one mod (Weapon or Armor), and other materials or reputation/rank points depending on the objective of the bounty. • Note: When I say rank points, think Valor or Infamy, **not** Glory.
The team is continuing to evaluate feedback over mod components, enhancement cores, and rewards all up. Thank you for the continued feedback. We'll give you updates as we have them.

 • This ain’t directed towards you, boss, but to the folks who’ve been giving us the turn around with “Enhancement Cores” ever since the unnecessary change. Why does it matter this much for you folks to be so damned adamant over this little debacle? Originally, Masterwork Cores weren’t a part of the direct leveling grind, but were instead added to the side to spice up armor or add orb generation to weapons and stuff. The impression that Year 1 left on me was that Masterworking was strictly part of the endgame grind, something that was on the side for players to work towards. Think like good old Ascendant Energy/Shards for Raid gear. You only needed those materials to unlock the upgrade nodes on that gear, but it was never made a requirement for their infusion costs. Though one is now a more readily available resource, the point is moot; why did you people think that making such a drastic change to Cores was a necessity? If anything, having to constantly change around things revolving Cores would have to have been way more work than simply keeping a new Masterwork system dedicated to just Masterworks and a few simple ways to earn Cores, let alone having to change the damned name just to get the point across. By the way, that was petty. Why can’t we simply get a direct explanation behind all of this instead of a long, drawn out disagreement between you folks and the Community? We all know that this’ll just end up with most us growing to resent those decisions due to the lack of straightforward communication or you’ll end up changing back infusions to try and save face. At this point, this has become less of a concern for me and more of an amusing show to see how it will all play out. Who caves in first? The disgruntled players who hate having to do chores in video games? Or the D2 devs who refuse to back down on how they want people to play their game?
