Continued Enhancement Core and Mod Component Discussion

Hey all, A few weeks back, we talked about Enhancement Cores coming from Gunsmith bounties in the TWAB. I wanted to give a quick update on this, as it also involves Mod Components, which have been a topic of discussion as well. Please note- this is all still in development for Season of Opulence, and could change.
• Originally announced in the TWAB, these bounties would cost Gunsmith materials. This has been changed to Glimmer. • There will be multiple daily bounties to complete, each rewarding one enhancement core and two mod components • There will be two weekly bounties to complete. These will each grant one enhancement core, one mod (Weapon or Armor), and other materials or reputation/rank points depending on the objective of the bounty. • Note: When I say rank points, think Valor or Infamy, **not** Glory.
The team is continuing to evaluate feedback over mod components, enhancement cores, and rewards all up. Thank you for the continued feedback. We'll give you updates as we have them.

Nah, I'm done with this enhancement core BS. The majority of the community has made it incredibly clear their position on enhancement cores and infusion. They're not needed, it's unnecessary, and as if removing them from infusion would break anything, it's just another thing to make players waste time doing things they don't want to do, when they could be doing things they actually want to do. This enhancement cores thing is probably going to be a dealbreaker for me, because it shows Bungie's stubborn stance towards player feedback. There is already too many layers and layers and layers of grind and RNG in this game, enhancement cores doesn't need to be, and NEVER needed to be another layer. They're fine for masterworking even though that should be done through gameplay and leveling, but infusion? No. I don't have time to log on every single day to buy and grind enhancement cores, which means I can rarely infuse the gear I actually want to use. So I don't, I don't bother equipping my more powerful gear now either, because what is the point? Power doesn't mean anything besides access to activities, and gambit/gambit prime can suck an egg. I have 0 reason to play the game at this point, because all progression is gated by some convoluted and pointless system like enhancement cores being required for infusion. Why the hell would I waste my time using gear I don't want to use and grind power when I have no interest in any of the new activities that require it? There's nothing about enhancement cores that is player friendly. It's another thing that makes Destiny feel like a free to play game with all these random materials and currencies, hell, they even have the time gates for powerful gear. It doesn't matter what change you make to enhancement cores, if "Removed enhancement cores requirement from infusion" isn't in the patch notes, no one is gonna wanna hear it.
