Time put in is definitely a needed, but adding menial bounties in addition to the other primary grind activities is overly burdensome to virtually everyone except no-lifers. I consider myself on the hardcore end of casual (I play several hours almost every evening but have a day job) and I struggle to keep cores in my inventory. The impact on players such as SidewayzRaptorz who have significantly less time but want to play the game because it is enjoyable shouldnt be shunted towards unenjoyable side tasks, which, as he stated, can push an engaged player away.
Your other comment about changing them to be similar to Mote of Light economy in D1 would be welcome as there was a general stream of motes into your inventory simply from leveling up. All play styles and activities rewarded them. A player like SidewayzRaptorz could put the time in that he had available and make proportionate progress while playing the activities that he enjoys.
