While I would like to see cores for infusion removed, I do welcome the change of not requiring gunsmith materials for the bounties. I feel like the weekly bounty should reward more than just one enhancement core, maybe five per weekly bounty? My thinking for this is based on other bounties that I see, they usually cover a wide range of activities so doing all of the dailies each day may take away from the play experience. With two weeklies that reward five cores each, they are worth a player dedicating the time to complete those and with some saving up can begin to use cores as they want. This would also give players that are still catching up the choice to dedicate themselves to daily core bounties as well as the weeklies (and anyone else who wants to grind them). Additionally, it would be nice if we could leave the scrapper bounties in just as they are. With a guaranteed source from the core bounties and the spider scrapper bounties would just become a nice extra that people can choose whether or not to do them. I appreciate the fact that Bungie is trying to find a solution that fits the complaints players are having while still trying to stick to their original design so thank you for continuing to look for solutions. To the other players: while it is obvious most of us would like to see the cores removed from infusion completely, it is obvious that isn't going to happen. This does show us though that Bungie is willing to move a bit on the subject matter. Our best move going forward is trying to figure out compromises that work better and put our efforts into that instead of just continuing to shout about core removal. Bungie has our feedback, they know we want them gone. So if they're not being removed from the process, it's clear that we're going to be stuck with cores in infusion and this is the time for us to try and make the best of it.

  • Agree, hopefully the new set of bounties contain objectives that will flow with just playing the game. Things like X amount of mini bosses and bosses kills with (insert means) are easily accomplished just running normal objectives. Part of the issue, imo, is the limited pursuit slots. Personally I have several old crucible quests I have not finished pecking away at (PvE main) but eventually finish. Needed to pick up more bounties gets a bit cluttered, and we find ourselves ( at least me) scurrying around to finish finding 6 planetary materials or whatever just so I can leave. I kinda wish they would have left the planetary daily challenges in game when they introduced bounties. Let the tower vendors offer bounties and when you land anywhere to run your objectives the location would just have the 3 daily challenges.

  • Players will ultimately make a choice: play or not, and it will be based on what each person sees as fun and time well spent. It does not look good for Bungie as they keep on this path

  • I agree, ultimately they can choose to make a final vote by opting to no longer play. I also agree that I am worried about the public perception and the seemingly stubborn approach Bungie has, that said this movement that has just been announced tells me there is a chance for compromise so I intend to offer as much constructive criticism as I can in hopes some of it will be heard and acted on. I'm also thinking that due to the large amounts of vitriolic shouting about cores that has been happening has also backed Bungie into a corner. If they cave and completely remove the cores, those people will feel like they won and the next time a feature comes up they don't like the process will be repeated. That wouldn't lead to a very rewarding design environment.

  • I agree 💯. Let’s hope for a sensible , civilized compromise!
