Continued Enhancement Core and Mod Component Discussion

Hey all, A few weeks back, we talked about Enhancement Cores coming from Gunsmith bounties in the TWAB. I wanted to give a quick update on this, as it also involves Mod Components, which have been a topic of discussion as well. Please note- this is all still in development for Season of Opulence, and could change.
• Originally announced in the TWAB, these bounties would cost Gunsmith materials. This has been changed to Glimmer. • There will be multiple daily bounties to complete, each rewarding one enhancement core and two mod components • There will be two weekly bounties to complete. These will each grant one enhancement core, one mod (Weapon or Armor), and other materials or reputation/rank points depending on the objective of the bounty. • Note: When I say rank points, think Valor or Infamy, **not** Glory.
The team is continuing to evaluate feedback over mod components, enhancement cores, and rewards all up. Thank you for the continued feedback. We'll give you updates as we have them.

 • As someone with enough time to play to have cores to spare (and the patience to wait for the same but higher drops so infusion only costs glimmer), the cores aren’t my issue. I get the current infusion system is to make the choice to infuse/masterwork a piece of gear meaningful. However, the current rewards for that are not worth the cost. Masterworking armor is no where near worth the small bonus you get. Guns are better due to the orb generation but even then, you end up having to wait for a god roll because you don’t get the same number of cores back if you find something better later. Infusing to reach max power? Nothing but a nuisance. There’s a 2-4 key pieces I’ll infuse as I go but not unless it’s at least a 10 pt increase. Most of the time I’ll just use what I get or wait til I get the same drop so I can infuse just for glimmer. I’d say keep the cores but change them back to masterwork cores and make them only for masterworking (not infusing) while increasing the masterwork bonus to actually make it worth doing. Make it so we feel like it was worth spending the cores and the time to make the piece of gear extra special
