Well said.
As I stated before, Bungie clearly knows what WE want. The problem is that what WE want isn't what THEY want US to want, so they keep trying to force us into accepting what THEY want.
They use hollow rhetoric like "meaningful choices" and "impactful feelings" knowing perfectly that those situations don't apply to the infusion mechanic, never did, never will.
You see, they created this stupid game of "grind-to-relevel-all-the gear-you-like-every-three-months" and one of the major ways they have to keep players in the game is by raising the power level AND throttling down the infusion system, which they do by creating a huge scarcity of cores in the game.
However, that philosophy is deeply flawed: it's boring, unrewarding, steals time from playing the new content and after almost 8 months of this concept players are just giving up on playing the game.
And those are the reasons why, imo, they won't remove cores from infusion AND why the players want them removed.
I bet that in D3 cores will be gone from infusion but by then it will be too little, too late to bring back those who jumped off the boat because of the infusion system.
So many GOOD competition this year, Destiny is not the only shark in the looter-shooter sea anymore.
