The Red Setting (LORE Speculation)

As we all know, the Drifter’s Ghost is abnormal, it possesses perhaps one of the most intriguing things about ghosts other than personality, the Red Setting. It has this due to the cannibalization of other ghosts. The Drifter says the Blue Setting can still be accessed but the Red Setting allows the ghost to see “Another Spectrum” of light. This allows it come up with the creation of Dark Motes and Banks. Now, the fact that the light on the ghost indicates a state/Setting makes me wonder, what other Setting could there be? Plus, what is this “new Spectrum of light” and does the Light itself have darker intentions... I personally believe that the Darkness itself is a byproduct of the light. A shadow if you will, I have a feeling that the darkness is a Spectrum of light that broke off/ splintered off from the light. Now this may seem a bit spinfoily but it’s the only way I can explain a ghost seeing another Spectrum of light that is close to the Darkness.
What are your thoughts on this idea of Settings?
• I don’t think it has to do with cannibalization. Asher Mirs Ghost has a red eye too, modified by the Vex when he was unconscious in the pyramidion, it too had tech added to it. So it would seem it’s more of an adjustable setting that requires some tinkering to unlock. The whole spectrum thing harkens back to the original leaked storyline. That the Traveler was the source of both. This is just a modified version of that baseline. While it may not be the source it would seem the new storyline has the raw power of the two sides being similar. Just different flavors based on the “source”. Which would explain how a Guardian, like Yor,could transition from Light to Dark without a conduit to the Dark. The only way Ghosts could access both is if they were similar to a degree. What’s more telling in that regard is that a Ghost knew it could access the Dark power. That tells me...they know a lot they aren’t sharing with us.

Well there is the Ghost Shell with a green light. What’s that mean?

        • I think the Darkness and the Light are basically Yin and Yang. Where there’s one there’s the opposite. With Light, there will always be Darkness, and vice versa

        • No, Light came from Darkness.

          • Maybe this Red Setting is how we access Darkness in D3?

            • Hmm, very intriguing. Where is this from? I’d like to read up on it before commenting.

              • My thoughts turn too when the drifter was on an ice cold planet, with beings that could create zones that stop the light from doing its thing. Thus the drifter had to somehow make his ghost absorb that darkness in order to survive and live another day. Ghosts are usually quite nice beings because of their affiliation with being born in light, so when absorbing darkness, it'll influence it in ways opposite and visually reflect with color. My guess anyway.

                • If that's true, what if we could get a setting for combining light or warping our supers? Like, a titan getting a hammer and a shield. Or a warlock getting a sword and shield
If I am here, it is because the stick wills it so
