Make Revelry Ornaments Permanent!

What's the freaking point of grinding for this armor when the event goes live if the key selling point for them; the damn ornaments, is going to just Disappear after the event is over??? Seriously Bungie, Everyone wants cool looking hologram effects on our armor like from D1's raids or Trials of Osiris, and yet here you are just spoon feeding us TEMPORARY ornaments??? Literally the Only reason I was excited to grind for this armor was for the ornaments, and now I have zero desire to even go after them. The armor doesn't even look that special on it's own to even warrant the grind. =\
Let's be real here, the armor looks like something from someone's grandma's attic.
Where's the creativity that you guys had from D1? The armor back then looked hundreds of times more desirable compared to what we're consistently getting from D2... I sincerely hope that this changes and the ornaments become permanent after the event ends... It's such a complete waste of time otherwise. Not only for us, the players, but for your artists to work on something that just goes Poof! and disappears after 3 weeks, only to come back in a year.

Bungo went and dun doofed again. We are listening and to show you this we've taken the ornaments away from everyone and repackaged them at 1000 silver so that now everyone can have a chance at getting them yay us we fail as a company.

  • YES! please. Bungie, make the ornaments permanent. Honestly, why advertise them and make us think it's permanent, when it's not? They look so cute and they're so unique. It would show others that we grinded for them during the event. Don't just make it temporary, it wouldnt even be here for that long, whats the fun in that? Grinding for something just to make it disappear after the hard work? Not only that, but its a random drop as well, beyond all the horrible blues we get.

  • So this one is only for the event but the past ones that I missed out on that could only be gotten at certain times(like the glowing armor ornaments I have seen recently that I wish I had) are permanent? Why should I bother with this event then other than the fact of the exotic?

    • Bungie: "To show we are listening we will be responding to requests that revelry ornaments be made permanent in the way we feel will best please our "core audience". We will be updating ornaments so that instead of them disappearing at the end of the Revelry event... They instead will only be available for use for 30 minutes on Monday April 22nd at 2am to 230am in the morning. After which time your account will be deleted and we will entirely drain your bank account then set your house on fire. See you in game Guardians!"

      • We just got a quality of life update disguised as an event, I’m pretty sure they just don’t give a crap anymore. Luke Smith needs to go, he’s been killing this game since he took over before TTK. But apparently I seem to be the only one who has noticed this.

        • Yeah. When I found out that the holographic effects vanish at the end of the event, my interest in the gear vanished with it. I’ll do what I need to do to get the arbalest, nothing more.

          • I will agree to this, tbh we need some flair on gear. Gambit, and Solstice gear is all that glows. Besides the few exotics that have effects. But all honesty the real grind is for Arbalest.

            • Sorry, they want the time you spend playing during the revelry to be impactful... but only during the revelry

              • Just another dumb idea from Bungie. Just avoid doing the event.
