I thought I would log in this weekend to visit Xur, but I received a message saying I needed to delete 27gb of something to make room for an update. My choices were to delete RDR2, Spiderman, God of War, or The Division.
Guess which game I deleted? It was an “impactful” and “meaningful” decision.

I haven’t gotten any cores to infuse with. It’s a stupid system that doesn’t even begin to compare to D1.

You dont need to infuse, your characters need to level up, throw on the gear they give you. Until you reached past 600 and are still affected than you can complain. Obviously you're not getting any cores because you're not playing the damn game.

Except I hate hand cannons and shotguns, I don’t want to play with them and they ruined scout rifles. So I’m not playing anymore. This system wants to force me to use stuff I don’t want to use or at the very least take up space carrying. I don’t care about the armor, it’s all ugly and meaningless anyway. I beat the missions months ago and it’s just a repetitive slog of the same old bs. It’s not interesting and advancement is taking too long. I hit 340 a couple months ago and just at 371 a couple weeks ago. I’m done. There are better games to play that are more deserving of my time, money, and hard drive. Maybe Bungie can do a better job with D3.

That's fine you can have an opinion on the games weapons, armor etc but dont talk about a matter such as cores when you cannot formulate an opinion with no experience.

Actually I can. I can’t infuse the early exotics or any of the gear I do like because of the core requirement. It limited my choices as I tried to progress through the game. It made it a less enjoyable experience. It’s too much. What I can’t talk about is master-working any weapons. I have no experience with those, no idea why I would want to move up different tier levels, or how it would change my experience. Didn’t hit max light so never had an opportunity to consider it. In D1 we had to use exotic shards to infuse exotics. Enhancement cores seem to be the equivalent of exotic shards, except the requirement has been extended to legendary weapons as well. It shouldn’t be that way. We also had glass needles in D1 to re-roll stats and perks of exotic armor. Cores seem to fill that role as well. The requirement for enhancement cores weakens the overall pool of gear. It’s a special requirement, but applying it to everything means nothing is special. But then nothing is special because of weak perks and stats on everything. D2 is just a watered-down version of D1. Even after the “go fast” update, everything still feels just a little off. Movement is still not as smooth, time to kill is still just a little bit too long, and supers don’t feel right. Enhancement cores should be required only for exotic gear and masterworking gear. And then those should have stronger ttk, enhanced movement, stronger and faster charging grenades and supers as a result of better perks. It should be something that gives you something special, not just regular gear.

I have only the base version of this game, digital copy and it takes up 3-5 times more memory than any other game I have. goW is like 42gb, neverwinter (which is about 1050 times more massive than Destiny 2) only takes up 17gb, zero Dawn takes up like 35gb, warframe is 40gb, path of exile is another massive game that only takes up 10gb!!! 10 frican gb for a game that's about 100 times more massive than Destiny 2. For honor is 30gb. A few other games in there that are anywhere from 15-25gb. Then we have destiny 2, again I only have the base game, no expansions, 80 -blam!-ing gb. Lol. Bungie is so -blam!-ing incompetent. They can't even figure out how to shrink down their games file size. Lol

I only have the base game and the first two dlc. It takes up a lot of space and then the update is basically reinstalling the entire game again. It’s ridiculous. Base game was free from PSN and I got the DLCs on sale for $9.99. Never could bring myself to spend any more money on it. This after putting 3k hours into D1 and I kept it downloaded until last November (I played it from Alpha). After all the bull$hit of D2, I can’t see myself trusting Bungie again.

I wouldn't even fork over 10 bucks for the first 2 add ons. D1 for the first year was great. Then I started reading all the articles and interviews of everything that went on behind the scenes at Bungie. Bungie did a lot of really messed up things. Lots of disgusting behavior went on in that company. Bungie is up there with EA for being the very worst video game company. They don't deserve any money from any one after all the crap they have done over the past 4-5 years. They are just a sad pathetic shadow of what they used to be. You made the right choice deleting D2. Never trust them.

It is so good, definitely worthy of winning game of the year. The story is amazing, similar enough that if you enjoyed the original series you will enjoy this. But different enough that even if you haven't played the original, you can pick the new one up and enjoy
