A train comes toward you down the track...
There is no one around, and you see 10 workers on the main track, and one man standing on the second track, the switch between track one and two sits in front of you... they are wearing hearing protection and are too far away to warn... you must act quickly if you want to save lives, but you will kill the worker standing on the second track... what do you do?

2 RepliesOK, to all those who said kill 1 to save 10 here's the same problem but different scenario: 10 people need organ transplants or they will die. You have a perfectly healthy man who you could kill, harvest his organs and save the lives of all 10 people - do you still kill 1 to save 10?

I made a similar post a while ago. The Philosophy is great. However, if the workers are unaware of a train coming, that's their fault since they should know their surroundings. The one person shouldn't die imo.
