They just need to do away with pinacle weapons and reward pinacle armor instead (i.e. unique design with random rolls but able to be purchased multiple times across all characters).
What are your thoughts on this?

Been saying this for months. Add a loot pool to comp and reward armor and ornaments per rank, problem solved.

I'm not a competitive player but a quest for the pinnacle armor piece and ornaments tied to glory would be awesome

I would do this for all areas strikes, pvp, and gambit instead of weapons.

I like the idea of both, it’s just that they completely overstepped the boundaries with these two weapons. From all of the Crucible I’ve played, (I have yet to use one myself), the Recluse seems fair playing against. The Mountaintop is a bit annoying, but once I get mine, I’m gonna throw it right back. With Luna’s and Not Forgotten, they reward something that is already going to be logical in a gunfight, ie headshots. With Mag Howl, it rewarded people who hit headshots, by giving an even easier kill with a final body. I feel that if Mag Howl stayed as it is with the new RPM change, it would be fine, because it’s more difficult to hit back-to-back headshots with 150s due to bloom, and the reward would be a shot that is probably going to hit the body, even with bloom. I’ve had Luna’s since the last day of the first season it was available, and we all knew a nerf was coming. I’m personally waiting to see how they work after the rework. Who knows, this could make it even more disgusting for shutting down supers, and could be fantastic. Let’s keep our cool, and see if they overdid it, or even underdid it.

I would love a system that would allow for 5 seasons with a different pinnacle armor for each season culminating in a supremely custom looking armor once all pieces are aquired.

Edited by Talia Sendua: 4/26/2019 3:52:36 PMI would like to see perks which do benefit pve and pvp. For example: Senitel armor granting the ability to shoot through the bubble but only for 50-25% of the full damage per bullet.

Unless the armor provides more bonuses than enhanced perks I don't want it

Honestly it would probably be easier to ballance armor with ALL enhanced perks than weapons.
