Sure, that's fine if you have had the gun for a long time, but what about people who just got it? Personally, I would be pretty ticked off.
It should never have gotten to this point. Releasing the most powerful guns, through a competitive playlist hardcore quest, was not the best idea. Then, making them legendary, instead of exotics. It gave a big advantage to players who are already good. The rich got richer.

I completely agree with the rest of your post though, those weapons were specifically tailored to the PvP elites, both in it's perks and in the quest difficulty to earn them.

Great points well made

I got it a few days ago and I still want it nerfed

Seriously just managed to get to Fabled yesterday and get the Luna's and Recluse. I am not a sweat by any means with a KD .97 really tough grind for a pinnacle hand cannon. Then same day they announce. Oh that gun you have been getting owned by and now worked your arse off to get..... yeah.... were going to make it less useful. Well why did it take Soooooooo long for you to address the issue if its too overpowered? The speed of the Trust is 180 rpm, so now I'll get out shot by a gambit random drop? WTF No Grind Trust??? The pinnacle weapons SHOULD BE PINNACLE! It is such a slap to the face for the people that worked hard to grind out a pinnacle gun, then make it no better then a random drop. I still get killed by many other weapons in crucible so this gun does not make me a pvp king by any means. But...Butt.....People cry if they can't top the leader boards with Cryptarch weapons! So make all pinnacle weapons just a weak as random drop weapons. I would not be so irritated by this if they came out a few weeks after the gun was available and made some adjusting.

I disagree with you. Pinnacle weapons should be strong, but they should not become the only option. They should have distinct strengths and weaknesses. Delirium 21 is great at clearing trash mobs, but not great at boss damage. Oxygen is great against clustered rank-and-file enemies, but struggles against majors and ultras. Recluse is great up close, but you'd better have a kinetic weapon to pair it with for anything outside of 10-15 meters. The list goes on. Luna and NF are very forgiving weapons that are straight up better than every other 180 RPM gun in the game. There is NO REASON to use trust, service revolver, ikelos HC, etc, over luna/nf. Why would I want to kill in 4 shots when I can kill in 3 shots?

As I said I just got it then same day its announced that they are going to nerf it. It is their game they can do what they want to try to balance the PVP game play. But going through the pursuit of grinding out all the Comp kills/head shots, reaching Fabled was not an easy task for a player like me I have a .97 KD and after having it, it did not make me a PVP god in any way. The main point I am getting to is they make a pinnacle pursuit gun, it should be pinnacle. Not washed down to average then making other guns just as formidable. There for removing any reason the attempt getting the pinnacle weapon. I will not attempt to even try for the Not Forgotten with this new announcement.

It's been more then half a year. You missed it, just as I missed the auto rifle meta. Theres still a bit of time to get luna out of your system

Nah, I just can't bring myself to do that quest. I don't have the patience.

Agreed, it's better to keep our mental sanity and enjoy outside life :)

I got it recently ever since they changed the competitive point gain and losses. Got my lunas within 3 days. It was rather easy.
