If you all hate crutches so much what about shotguns
They're harder crutches than Luna's and you don't complain about them

The only shotgun that had a legit gripe with it atm is Dust Rock Blues and that's only because it shoots absurdly far. I'd be fine if they reduced DRB maybe 10 percent and then things would be golden.

I cringed at the word "shotguns" in the context of Destiny 2. lol These guns destroy in Crucible. They make side arms practically unusable and submachine guns nearly so. My experience with shotguns are that they are one shot monsters that are not fun to play against at all. There is no other weapon type with such an advantage as shotguns. You essentially have to keep it at long range, which is not possible with the way maps are, or throw whatever you have to beat them. I get why others use them, and I'm too stubborn to do the same. I can't believe Luna/NF are getting adjustments but shotguns aren't.

The only Shotguns I would say that takes Skill in my opinion to use are Slug Round shotguns (Chappy & Good Bone Structure) But speaking of shotguns, anyone remember the 4th Horseman?

Shotguns are just as bad as lunas howl but the difference is 40% had the lunas howl and 99% of the destiny community uses shotguns. These players wont want their shotguns nerfed, they want the weapons they cant earn nerfed. Don’t get me wrong though, lunas howl is broken, I have the weapon and I’m glad its getting nerfed. Now I can finally use bows without the fear of getting instantly melted by lunas how or not forgotten. Shotguns wont get nerfed though, its one of those things the 99% of the community wont shut up about it they get nerfed.

Yeah. The rework at the beginning of season 6 did nothing to damp down dustrock. It’s still a scout rifle labeled as a shotgun.

Erentil Fusion Rifle I feel is the biggest crutch in this game but I don't whine for nerfs to it. I just adapt and play better. Sadly too many people want Bungie to cater to them specifically and call for nerfs instead of bufss. Buffs are needed much more than nerfs. Nerfs eliminate options, buffs add options.

The Titan pvp map(based on the platform, not the Arcology) promotes close quarters engagements almost exclusively. Scout rifles and long distance pulse rifles get thrown out the window there, but I cannot count the dozens of times that a mōngoloid tried to rush B with nothing but a shotty.

Not really a crutch... for me at least. I only use it when people get to close for my liking, very rarely do I rush people with it and if I do its a last resort type of thing.

5 RepliesShotguns are not crutches and absolutely take skill, much moreso than lunas at least on console. I main snipers myself and I can still recognize the skill behind using a shotgun against good players.

1) They have nerfed shotguns already once post Forsaken while they left the OP LH/NF alone the until just now. 2) They still needed address LH/NF for a healthy crucible, even if they still need to address other things. 3) We don’t know what other changes are coming to the crucible in season 7. This was the only one they are talking about super early, it’s hard to believe it’s the only one. 4) Your bias is showing.
