See now of all the arguments ive had with people nobody has suggested what you suggest for cores .. This is actually a great idea .. Maybe the weekly should drop at least 3 up the nightfall to 5 and additional 5 for 100k or more .. All weekly activities should drop at least 3-5 and dailies should drop 1-3 .. I dont think they should be removed I just use the currency exchange with vance and get 15-25 cores each time after spending 1k in shards or more ..its not like i go bankrupt either since I get 90% of the shards I spent back
