PLEASE....tell me this isn't true.
That this isn't true, and you guys aren't standing around and allowing this to happen, because your pride won't allow you to admit that cores were a bad idea.
Please.

This makes me sad and I love this game. 😔

Edited by NeoIcarus1: 5/1/2019 5:24:15 PMIf the numbers for today April 30th are correct, only 50k players were playing Gambit. Thats a complete disaster for the Jokers Wild dlc. Guardian.gg had Crucible at 311k, 54k were in gambit. 365k total for PvP according to Destinytracker.
-
Edited by CookieNiki: 4/30/2019 7:53:39 PMWow, the unsinkable Bungie is in fact sinking.
-
DT stats are working again. 353.8K Crucible Players 432.3K PvE Players Yesterday Slowly but surely sinking to "great content drought of 2016" levels...
-
But isn’t these numbers inflated by gambit ?adding some logins 2/3 times . Which means true numbers is lower than what’s shown
-
These numbers also include D1 numbers.
-
Edited by SebastienC: 4/30/2019 7:09:43 PMYes, you are right. These numbers must be used carefully. There is a lot of overlap between PvE and PvP, as players who do both on a single day will be added to both numbers. As for gambit, before it was added to Destiny, the PvE/PvP ratio always hovered around 3/2. With Gambit, it stabilized around 5/4. I don't know it it was caused by more PvE players playing Gambit, or by what you mention (PvP players being counted twice if they play Crucible and Gambit on the same day). The total number of daily players can never be known, only the low and high bounds. I'd like a better metric, for sure.
-
Bad but not dire....
-
I remember those numbers. They hovered around 200K PvP, 300K PvE.
-
I sent the stats to my group on PSN and saved the screenshot before it went away. So either the stats were wrong and they pulled the API, or the API doesn't show a count if it falls below a threshold: https://imgur.com/60mdckV
-
My guess is that one of the consoles had a hiccup and their numbers weren't reported for a few days. Destiny tracker probably took down the numbers entirely until they got the full report to avoid a seeming embarrassment on Bungie's part. Too bad the numbers are already critical.
-
Ooooo.. that IS low.
-
Destiny tracker Still not working , maybe it is broke in a way where it’s giving the proper numbers and Bungie doesn’t like that .
-
Edited by GrizzlyTeeth: 4/30/2019 9:15:42 PMThis morning the player count stats are gone from destiny tracker. Lol. They made sure to hide access to that embarrassing piece of information as soon as possible. EDIT: Today they are showing again. It seems if it falls below a threshold the API don't show results.
-
Going to be honest with you Green. Destiny isn't in a great state but I think their tracking api broke.

Didn't like 14 million people own this game at some point? 😂🤣 Keep it up Bungie, we are almost there. 👍
-
14 mil owned this game at some point, many who downloaded the base game because its free now. Destiny has never had 1 mil concurrent players let alone 14 mil.
-
14.3.
-
Destiny 2 lost 80% of its active players during first year, had a bump for forsaken and then has steadily dropped to a similar level. Events aren't even generating that big a spike in numbers now. If the numbers can be trusted, that would indicate that the annual pass only succeeded in treading water, not increasing population. ( I am using the 2 million users on all platforms figures, not the inflated 14.3) ☺

Edited by Mad EYE Murffy: 4/30/2019 5:31:06 PMOh dear. Something be going on.

Think it was like 145k PvP and like 220k pve saturday night we wont agree on cores ever but if this is the cause than just fkn get rid of them so this game doesn't die and they dont make any more
-
...we wont agree on cores ever but if this is the cause than just fkn get rid of them...
While this things never happen just for a single cause, the cores in infusion system are one of the major causes, yes.

I have my opinion you have yours but if the greater good is to ultimately get rid of them so be it.. We've argued this extensively I have almost 300 cores since our last argument just because they'll increase the power level again come season 7 .. Everything should drop at least 3 cores .. Or for the sake of the population I guess getting rid of them is the better option
-
For the greater good. Cores should be made slightly harder to get, making masterworking a meaningful upgrade. Cores should also be removed from infusion. The argument is stupid, the point isnt how many cores, or, give us more cores, the point is that bungie will not give us new weapons all the time like they did in D1 and they are trying to hide that as much as possible with artificial grind and some morons, bragging about how many cores they have and what good gamers they are, are arguing against us. I have well over 200 cores and full masterworked armor and weapons, i too am a special snow flake, now REMOVE CORES FROM INFUSION.
