I just dont want my game ruined because people dont understand the economy of cores. I love this game and I know removing cores is a bad idea that may sound good on paper, but gets rid of any kind of grind. Every one say that this grind is bad though because people don't know how loot based games work. There is supposed to grind. There should be a little "work" involved in order to have a better advantage then the people who didn't put in that work.

  • OH YOU GOT ME!!!!!!!
I dont want to take this post to seriously but if it is then here you go: Cores like money. Spend money on useless things you lose money. Same with cores. Spend money on good things only occasionally = more money to spend on more useful things. People work for money, but the problem is the use it up to quick. Dont remove jobs and give everyone free money. Same with cores. Work for cores = more cores. Its less of a grind I admit and more of a "dont be so stupid with cores" as you would money.
• Coming from a person who only has one 561 power character. REALLY preaching hard work there. You don't even play the game enough to know.

  • Soooo that means you have time to grind all day with no real world responsibilities like kids? Cuz that's how ANYONE who has 100s of cores has 100s of cores. One guy on the forums said the only reason he has 100s of cores is because, his son plays on his account all day. Buttt if you want Bungo to panter to no-lifers instead of realizing that people actually have lives and families, I don't know what to tell you. Gaming suppose to be an enjoyable hobby, not a second job. Why aren't you commenting on these forums with your main account then?

  • i believe attacking people who play more instead is cowardly bungie would rather the more dedicated players be attack by spineless cowards than have those same spineless cowards accuse bungie of not having enough content

Just because I only get to play a few hours a night doesn't mean I don't go hard and try to succeed in every hard end game activity. 58,700k Triumph score, one Petras Run away from Rivensbane, Cursebreaker, one page away from Chronicler, Wayfarer, ST solo done two seasons ago, dedicated completionist and collector, all badges except Prime and Crucible done, all raids and prestige raids done, only missing a handful of catalysts, etc etc. Oh and a clan admin that does sherpas at night. Quality over quantity. Not bad for a mom, eh? Despite all my effort, still not enough cores. None of that excuses a broken game economy. Its not about anything else, but Bungies inability to balance ANYTHING. People are too one track minded to see the point.

  • no one is saying you dont love the game but having to little content is worse than having too much

  • 1. I dont grind all day. I play for about a good amount of my weekend but that's it. I rarely play week days. Im not a no-lifer and never have been. I have no problem with cores and I rarely intentionally go seeking them out. Im just sitting on a nice stack by playing when I can. 2. My accounts are linked.

  • I play a few hours a night after my daughter goes to sleep. (Roughly 3 to 5 depending). I do all my scrappers, buy 2 from spider everyday, do any weekly that gets me cores, and I am very smart with how I infuse. (Aka Infusing like items for glimmer only and waiting until the end of the week etc etc). And yet I'm not sitting on a stack of cores. :p Thats most peoples issue. So tell me again how you're not being an elitist? Removing cores from infusion and having them for only masterworking weapons and armor would NOT IN ANY WAY negatively impact you and your gaming. You only want to keep them around for the sole purpose of being an elitist. It wouldn't negatively impact you in ANY way shape or form.

  • I mean I think its unfair just to change something that's a grind because the community is lazy. Yes, Cores going wouldnt "negatively" impact me, it also would benefit me either but, if they do this then its pretty much surrendering what ever control they have left. This has already been shown with the Lunas nerf. That gun has been destroyed because the community couldnt take in the fact that hardwork should be rewarded. Once they change cores theyve lost all form of a grind and can never re introduce it with out every complaining that "x weapon" takes too much work to get.

  • So you're saying I'm lazy? Even though I do everything in my power to get more cores and still never have enough? You even said you don't go out of your way for cores. I do. Its not a matter of being lazy. Its a matter of broken economy. Learn the difference. And just because a gun was earned, doesn't make it immune to change. If Bungie screws up and makes something insanely over-powered and broken, its their duty to fix it. Its been like this for 8 months. Time for all the Luna-Babies to ditch their crutch and use another gun for once. Being good in Crucible means you're good with ANY loadout, not some cookie cutter loadout. Everyones tired of the Dust Rock/Luna-Baby loadout. But now we're getting off topic. :) Tldr: You're still an elitist. Are we done?
So you're saying I'm lazy? Even though I do everything in my power to get more cores and still never have enough?
Never said you directly were lazy. I was more in general to other people who just complain and dont put in work but its clear you do I should have clarified. I highly respect your ability to play as well as take care of children(s) as thats not the easiest thing to do and there are things youd rather do with limited time the grind cores but. My main point that I got off topic on was that cores arent hard to get. people just dont use them wisely. I made an explanation above relating them to money. Basically: (If this doesnt fit in context im copying from a different post) Cores are like money. Spend money on useless things you lose money. Same with cores. Spend money on good things only occasionally = more money to spend on more useful things. People work for money, but the problem is the use it up to quick. So by the "we should remove cores" would be the same to say remove jobs and give everyone free money. Same with cores. Work for cores = more cores. Its less of a grind I admit and more of a "dont be so stupid with cores" as you would money. Edit: Sorry I have to adress I dont even have lunas yet im finishing up the quest and im only mad because I worked really hard for it but, I didnt work for a 150. My main loadout btw is either TLW w/ snipe or recluse with a blue snipe that has snapshot + Ambush sight.

  • ....but its a game. You're comparing a game to real life. Most of us play games after work is done and kids are in bed to ESCAPE reality, not feel like we're working a second or third job. Thats my biggest issue with Bungies game economy.
