You can be killed by anything in patrol zones whether you are level 700 or 500. Same goes for regular strikes, heroic strikes and Nightfall. You see the pattern here?
Who cares how quickly you get to the new power level. It allows you access the newest content. Only time power level matters is if you are under powered.

I’m not sure what your point is. Those activities aren’t endgame content, and someone with no cores for infusion isn’t going to have a problem there unless they’re just bad at the game.
