I'm going to buy more content. Don't get me wrong, I have championed removing cores and I had the highest liked post about it which started the wave of other posts.... However, having fun with my friends and the amazing gunplay by far outweighs the nuisance of cores. I mean, I still have like 500 of them so even if I don't agree with infusion for cores whatsoever, I won't let that ruin my good time. Guys, life is full of things we disagree with or cannot have our way, but if you give up every time or let it ruin your day/week/year/life, then you need to change your approach and outlook. I mean, it's still just a game... if it's still fun, then great. If the core problem really ruins it for you, then that's too bad but maybe you didn't love the game that much in the first place (which is totally fine, I'm just saying). It's not a game breaker for me.

  • I had look at this twice before I responded. So, essentially, you waited until Max Power before Infusing your preferred gear up to Max Power, correct? What this means is that you have circumvented the Infusion system and its entire purpose, which was to provide players the ability to carry current gear forward into harder and harder activities, up until the very moment you would more or less use it for the last time. In turn, what you have just proven is that having Core costs in Infusion, or having the Infusion system AT ALL for that matter, can be considered a redundant decision that only acts as a buffer to elongate Time Played for the portion of the playerbase that are not hardcore. All of this talk of "meaningful and impactful Infusion" is, ironically, meaningless and unimpactful at best. If Bungie want meaningful and impactful decisions, they should be giving us free reign over what gear we choose to use, so that way the meaningful and impactful decisions stem from our gear builds and how they synergise with our class abilities and playstyle. They should NOT be about what resources we spend.

  • I completely agree. I haven't changed how I feel about it. But since this is the way it is, I focus on being wise and efficient with my cores because I know how to adapt when something is not the way I think it should be. It's a better strategy and outlook than stamping my feet and whining.

  • To be honest, that is a good outlook on life in general. There are many things that you have to adapt to. However, this is a video game. A piece of entertainment that we, the paying customer, have the right to demand for change if we do not like elements of the product. While some have acted like children, as you have said, there are people who have given reasonable amounts of mature, constructive criticism by the hundreds, trying to reason with whatever persistent entity is still pushing this Core-Wall in our face.

  • Also true. It is baffling how stubborn Bungie is being.

  • Someone who plays a lot could easily have 500 without taking advantage of the infinite core exploit. I have 200 cores and I’ve hardly played this season after getting to 700 power.

  • Exactly, my buddy has like 900 and he has never used any exploits either. It's sad how many people actually believe that anybody who is efficient and not wasteful must be cheating, lol. They probably look at people with wealth in real life and think they scammed their way to it, where as in actuality most people with real life wealth manage it the same way as cores should be managed... Wisely, efficiently, and not wasteful. I'm guessing most people who burn through all their cores also burn through their paycheck every couple weeks. There's earners, wasters, savers, and spenders.... it's always been this way.

Tbh, I would have if I had the guns unlocked at that time but nope I missed the chance. I used to raid a lot and all of the dupe gear dismantled for many cores. Plus I wore shit gear from 650 all the way to 700 and only infused a few things at 680 and the rest at max level. And I get 21 cores per week from clan milestone and a few more from scrappers each week and got a lot from revelry. I'm one of the smart efficient ones whom the wasteful inefficient ones seem to hate. The amount of time some people have spent making posts about cores could have gotten them dozens each week simply by playing the game. I dont even buy Wanted bounties, they're kind of a waste of time. Oh yeah, just got 10 cores from crucible reset too. It's not that bad. Just sucks for newer players like my gf, whom my popular post was about, but even now she has acquired a decent amount through normal play. Still, I wish she could use them to masterwork but she will need to save them for infusion instead. Oh well, it is what it is. Good luck man. Tldr: I play the game and get cores naturally. I am against cores for infusion and I think they should be for MW only. Still, -blam!- doesnt get anyone more cores. Just adapt and adjust.

  • I disagree! There IS something wrong with The Revelry!! I tend to play Destiny with the music off, partly because it can be repetitive, and partly because I take a lot of joy in the sound design of the open world; the ambient noise, the weapon sounds, etc. If you're in the Tower and you have that faux Renaissance Faire music turned off, that leaves you with only one thing: the sound of insects flying everywhere!! Yes, I get it - Spring is here, bees are buzzing, etc. But damn if it doesn't give me the willies everytime something buzzes past my ear. Other than that I personally enjoyed my time with The Revelry. Honestly I think Bungie's holiday events are some of the true high points in the entire game.

  • It really is a credit to the sound design, but I swear you'll feel like you're standing in a VERY active garden.

  • If you haven’t played d1 in a while, start it up and be amazed how much better the audio is on the old game than the new one.

  • D1 DEFINITELY has awesome sound design! I have a baby Titan that I'm running through the campaign. I still enjoy D1 heartily, and will keep playing that one off and on until the servers get shut down.
