TLDR: My friend picked up D2 after leaving when Forskane dropped and he is having a terrible time being motivated to play because he cant infuse the gear he likes! Infusion is whats breaking him.
This problem, and others, stop me from recommending D2 to other people.
When D2 came out I got my friend to play with me, we both had a blast! He stopped playing right before Forsaken and is back on now. He is having the same experience every time we finish an activity or he gets a legendary. He likes how it looks or if its a gun the way it handles, but immediatly after it gets out leveled by a blue to feels terrible having to give up that weapon or gear just for the sake of leveling and because infusion is impossible for new or returning playersS.
He keeps playing because we are having fun together, but it is a terrible thing when a system in the game is at every stop killing his motivation to keep playing.
Please remove cores from infusion. We dont want more sources for them, we dont want chores to do that reward them, we want them OUT OF INFUSION. They were perfect as Masterwork Cores and at the rate they dropped and how often we were rewarded Masterworked Gear we could scrap for cores, but now its only scaring away players.
Also, because of the problem with cores, among others, any time someone asks me if Destiny 2 is a good game to play I ALWAYS recommend some other game. I no longer feel it is right to get new players into Destiny, its for their own good.
