Hey guys, we here at Bungie have heard you loud and clear and we agree; enhancement cores have become a problem. We don't like where they've taken our game and how they're impacting progression so after many long talks, we've decided to do the only sensible thing to do in this situation - remove infusion from Destiny 2. We want the use of enhancement cores to be a meaningful decision and we feel infusion is overwhelmingly making that decision for you so we're removing this feature. To compensate for the reduced demand on enhancement cores, noncurated gear will no longer dismantle into enhancement cores and Spider will no longer offer them in his bounty rewards but he will still sell them for legendary shards. Also, we are cancelling the plans to give Banshee bounties that reward enhancement cores and just removing scrapper bounties altogether.
