A few weeks back, we talked about Enhancement Cores coming from Gunsmith bounties in the [url=https://www.bungie.net/en/News/Article/47706]TWAB[/url]. I wanted to give a quick update on this, as it also involves Mod Components, which have been a topic of discussion as well. Please note- this is all still in development for Season of Opulence, and could change.

The team is continuing to evaluate feedback over mod components, enhancement cores, and rewards all up. Thank you for the continued feedback. We'll give you updates as we have them.

mod components: my only real source is ada 1 because can buy them. cores. ive posted before about that. when the bounties are done that drop them, the scapper bounties are more for things i dont want to do much like crucible zone capture (IF i play crucible will always and only be rumble) or strikes (cant enjoy those when everyone else sees it as a race and doesnt let me take time to kill every enemy and explore and enjoy it) PLUS scrapper bounties dont drop much, and when they do are slanted to activities I DONT WANT TO DO, not cache it in which is about all im interested in. so when the spider bounties are done and i bought my 2 cores which is all i can afford with leg shards now used by everything, i stop playing. still maintain shouldnt need cores to infuse a hand gun into another handgun of same color. exotic infusion of legendaries - 3 cores seems a bit much. especially when the next up exotic is no cores iirc.
