I have a full time job and a two year old, meaning that he was younger when D2 released. I used to Sherpa raids back in D1 before my son was born in D1 year three. I even had so much time on my hands that I managed to solo the Sabre strike on D1 (had the video if you don't believe me). Nowadays I have to be much more casual and only get gaming time at night on certain days. Check my stats if they can display that, you'll find I've only ever beat Last Wish once and never played Scourge. Reason for that is that I prefer to do blind raids, never watched a guide on them and getting together members of my clan to do that is pretty tricky seeing as they all just wanted the loot and wanted to cheese everything they could. Anyway seeing as I can't raid I just enjoy other content that I can, Strikes, Crucible, Gambit, Reckoning. The way I do core farms is whenever I have to do strikes or crucible. Here's the method. 1. Never instantly break down your legendary gear. Instead shove it into the vault, do that with your blues also but if your vault gets full prioritise legendaries. You can usually fill up by doing all your weeklies except for crucible and strikes. 2. Once you are swimming in legendary gear, start to break them down until you get three scrapper bounties, One Lost Sector, One Strike and One Crucible. 3. Load your playlist of choice, strike or crucible, though strikes is quicker. Focus on doing the scrapper bounty, as long as it's not the one where you have to finish the strike, you're good but if you do get the one where it requires strike finish, don't cash it in. Instead break down more gear until you get another scrapper. (something to note is that it comes quicker when breaking armour over weapons). You'll get cores from breaking down gear with level 3 masterwork and you'll get them from doing your scrapper bounties. You'll get as little as 20 and you're not doing anything out of the ordinary except your usual weeklies. You can also do spider bounties though you have to get the materials to buy them which I find is mostly wasted time unless you need more gear to break down. Here's a tip for that, if you need to kill a target, only go to the area when a public event is spawning, they always appear around the public. And that is my farming method. LIke I said, I don't see a problem and I don't play as much as others.
