They nerf things because of damage and usage data. When weapons start operating outside of it intended range. Take the Ikelos Shottie for instance. It was all any serious PvE player ever used. So the majority of End game PvE’ers used it religiously. By the thousands. It was also out DPS’ing Hvy/Power tier Weapons. Or in PvP when a weapon out preforms most weapons and has a much higher usage rate than Normal. That’s when Bungie steps in and adjusts things. Sometimes they nerf things to far but they You get the point. They record the data on everything we do. PvE and PvP alike. They have NEVER just Nerfed anything just because some potatoes whine about it.
