Continued Enhancement Core and Mod Component Discussion

Hey all, A few weeks back, we talked about Enhancement Cores coming from Gunsmith bounties in the TWAB. I wanted to give a quick update on this, as it also involves Mod Components, which have been a topic of discussion as well. Please note- this is all still in development for Season of Opulence, and could change.
• Originally announced in the TWAB, these bounties would cost Gunsmith materials. This has been changed to Glimmer. • There will be multiple daily bounties to complete, each rewarding one enhancement core and two mod components • There will be two weekly bounties to complete. These will each grant one enhancement core, one mod (Weapon or Armor), and other materials or reputation/rank points depending on the objective of the bounty. • Note: When I say rank points, think Valor or Infamy, **not** Glory.
The team is continuing to evaluate feedback over mod components, enhancement cores, and rewards all up. Thank you for the continued feedback. We'll give you updates as we have them.

 • correct me if im wrong I thought forsaken was created to help casual players to turn into hardcore players, these enhancement act as a barrier of entry for those type of people, or those who have given up on d2 due to its horrible launch. This was not the case in D1 where gear required legendary marks and motes of light, and you get those just by playing the game, dismantling legendary weapons, completing nightfalls. As for motes of light you just get those by playing the game, so why are enhancement cores are not only rare but also twice as expensive than motes of light in infusement? To those saying its supposed to be a meaningful choice, what do you mean by meaningful, like I can see it in destiny 1 cause you actually can customize how your character plays, but there is no actual build diversity for some of these weapons, than say a game like Borderlands or hell the old Diablo, the skill tree is still barebones and too basic thus no choice to be had, other than do I want to infuse this crappy gun into a more reliable weapon I've used and had had a good roll. Honestly these enhancement cores can easily be used for microtransactions because of there scarcity, and amount required to infuse a piece of gear is quite expensive, hell the company NetEase, the same guys that helped with diablo immortal invested about 100M to Bungie, could that be destiny 2 or 3 i don't know just a mere theory to keep an eye on.
