IF YOU PROCEED WITH THIS NERF IT WILL BE UNFAIR TO THE WEAPON, YOU IDIOTS. Bungie, the weapon is and should stay as one of the top dps weapons for PvE, YOU SAW WHAT HAPPENED TO BLACK HAMMER, EVERYBODY WAS UPSET. EXOTICS ARE MEANT TO BE P O W E R F U L, IF YOU WANT ALL THE EXOTIC SNIPERS TO BE USED EQUALLY, WHY NOT UP THE DAMAGE? NERFING IS NOT THE ONLY OPTION.
In conclusion: the whisper should not and never be nerfed again.
We DEFINITELY didn't spend MULTIPLE weeks going for the catalyst.
We did all that work, just for it to be NERFED??????????????

Spent a long time working on Whisper when it came out. It’s a really valuable weapon for PvE. Bungie always assumes that overuse equals overpowered. The gun is just more viable than other heavies for boss damage, but it’s also conditional. You can just shoot wizards and expect easy headshots. Bungie needs to stop merging weapons and just create harder fights. It’s what we want from endgame anyways, a challenge

Nerfing weapons just leaves us feeling less powerful. Take the weapon away and we feel retrospective, NOT less powerful. Nerfing is never the way. Let me say this again....NEVER. Find another balance and stop being lazy by implementing one weapon nerf. Why would anyone (who doesn’t have the weapon) do the quest now? To have a sniper that does shit? These are exotic weapons. Some supposedly forged by gods or to kill them. They need to be OP. Maybe make them less powerful in certain scenarios? A debuff in raids, or only have the white nail perk for a limited time when the weapon is first used after a significant stow period. There’s so many ways. Honestly this might see me quitting Destiny 2. Nerfs have hurt this game in the past and in vanilla as well. When you change your game, guys, you need to make it better, not worse.
