That would be fine, IF Bungie wasn't too cheap or incompetent to have Regional Dedicated Host Servers. What they have is Peer to Peer Networking (circa 2008ish Halo era). Everyone's IP address is shared with everyone in the game, making all manner of IP attacks easily possible. Not only can the opposing team attack you, so can your random team mates. And before someone says "my own team mate would never do that", think about how many Gambit matches you have been in where this person picks up a bunch of motes and leaps off the map with them. It happens more frequently than one wants to admit.
