Idea for Cores... Add them as purchasable items from Zavala and Shaxx. Use the faction tokens to purchase them. Make it 5 tokens for each core. Gives us a reason to go farm strikes or crucible. Gives us a reason to buy/use the Vanguard/Crucible boons.
