Hey folks!
I've been using Controller on PC for the last 2 years of Destiny 2 and while I'm quite competitive with it, it still feels like it has major drawbacks (even with the aim assist). It's totally fine in things like Raids or Strikes, but when it comes to Competitive PVP – you really start to notice the skill gap.
Unfortunately due to having a stroke at a young age, I can't efficiently use a keyboard outside of my thumb and index finger on my left hand. WASD has always been near impossible for me - especially with the additional commands (which I've now assigned to my mouse). I'm currently looking for solutions that allow me to use something like a controller or joystick for movement but a mouse for aim (without controller aim assist obviously)
I'm thinking about using XPadder and the PS3 Nav controller. For those that don't know, Xpadder interprets controller movement as keyboard movement - so the joystick works as WASD essentially. This makes sure there is no controller aim assist and believes you are using a KB+M. Does this seem like the most reasonable solution? Will this work on Destiny 2 in the long run? Are these types of programs OK to use along with Destiny 2?
Any knowledge would be supreme! And if anyone knows of alternatives with joystick movement – that'd be solid! I know of the Razer Orbweaver but the joystick seems to be a bit "buttony" to be a functional WASD replacement.
Appreciate you all!

I was going to recommend the Orbweaver or something similar, then noticed your closing remarks. I bet you could become pretty proficient with it if you are good with a controller. It effectively is the same movement method for WASD, but the mouse would give you the precision for your aiming. It might be worth trying that first, and then start looking for more complicated solutions.
