Why do whales jump out of the water?
Like the humpback whales in this video.
What's the purpose of this behavior? Is it just playing or does it have a different reason?

2 RepliesBecause WEEEEEEEEEEE! *splash* I've read several theories, most recent suggests it is a form of communication, apparently for distances/situations where "singing" doesn't help.
