Thank you bungie for all the hard work.
Just why the bias toward hand cannons? I feel like there is always a new one coming out.
Can you keep the trend going like with Outbreak Perfected, and show more love for the rifle class weapons? It would be great to get some more good ones!
Thanks again

I know im late to this party, but I agree! And I know handcannons may be the signature weapon of destiny, but it would be nice of other weapons got some love to. To be honest, like i know they gave us forges, but I wish we could truly craft our weapons similiar to how you could in dead space 3. - sure we should still get random weapon drops, but after killing ads and collecting their "essence" finding the special materials specific to each planet/moon, saving up legendary shards and glimmer, purchase a weapon frame, go to a crafting station and craft away! The mods you could put on a weapon should depend on the mods you have already found/ acquired.

Edited by acerspades1: 6/10/2019 9:25:53 AMI'd like a handcannon that shoots handcannons and if you hit crits then little handcannons spawn and damage other ads. Oh, and it has to have tracking too 👌

Honestly, I think there are too few good handcannons. And even fewer good everything else. Other than the Breakneck, what is a good Legendary auto? Name even one good scout rifle (one that can compete in either PvP or PvE in the current meta).
-
Yeah i cant help but agree i love hand cannons but i also would like to have multiple choices of exotics in every archetype and if we keep getting hand cannons its going to take much longer to get to that point.
-
Got a feeling the new handcannon sniper is going to ruin the game.
-
Should call it Hand Cannons: The Franchise
-
So what you’re saying is.....there’s not enough hand cannons? I agree, I want to dual wield hand cannons, as matter of fact I wish our guardians could grow an extra appendage and tri-wield handcannons.
😏 Seriously though, can we get some more exotic autos or bows or trace rifles or scout rifles or the solar/void version of thunderlord? Or a rocket launcher that shoots rockets that break into smaller rockets and heat seek enemies until everything is dead? A man needs variety in his weapons of mass carnage.
I wouldn’t mind hand cannons if 3/4 of the archetypes were usable on console.

Edited by Yu7Zi: 6/10/2019 1:49:44 AMWHY ARE THERE TOO MANY HAND CANNONS? THE ANSWER So that it's easier for Bungie to make replicas for Bungie Rewards

Hand Cannons are to Destiny what Lightsabers are to Star Wars
-
They have heard your feedback And make sure to watch the ViDoc where we show off an exotic handcannon sniper

Edited by Redd Wolf: 6/11/2019 4:05:07 AMEverytime a Hand Cannon forum start a hand cannon gets its wings lol. Real talk I feel like they're more overpowered.
-
Edited by ClovenTrack620: 6/10/2019 9:38:07 AMthis is nothing new, Bungie has always had an Obsession with Handcannons since Destiny came out, and the only way to make them good is to make them Overpowered, we just had 2 Hamdcannons dominate the entire PvP sandbox for like 3 seasons in a row, cause dat makes sense #bungielogic

Naw we need more. Like maybe...87 more, THEN we can say "thats good for now."
-
They're just boring. Haven't found a single hand cannon that's fun to use or at least aesthetically pleasant. Closest was Sunshot, but at that point I'll just use a grenade launcher or something with dragonfly. I'm more of a fan of big weapons. Not about the bullet with someone's name on it, but many bullets 'to whom it may concern', and few problems cannot be solved by persistent application of high explosive artillery. Truth be told, I'm a sword fan though. Specifically crown splitter; all the other swords are mediocre, too niche, or just plain bad.
-
I agree, not enough. Infusion should add hand cannons as a resource, armor should be made of hand cannons, ship hand cannons, we need a hand cannon ghost, our guardians should look like hand cannons, and bungie should name the next game desthandcannon 3.
-
True. But there are only a few good pnes worth using. I wish scouts and autos were better but hey. I feel like most weapons now lean more towards being an energy weapon.
-
I wonder why they're so fixated on hand cannons, constantly adding more to the game and making them overpower most other weapons. On PC it's especially bad: HCs are totally crutch weapons. Anyone who pretends it takes some kind of higher skill to strafe and land 3-4 shots probably doesn't get out much or play real sports so they look for a sense of self worth in using overpowered, unbalanced guns in a video game. The development team must really like westerns or something. It's a bit excessive though. Not only do they constantly keep adding hand cannons which arent really all that differentiating from previous hand cannons, but the meta is definitely tuned to make hand cannons a staple weapon... Why though? Why cant other things be really good to use too? I'm not saying I want HCs nerfed I would just like to see the other rifle types be really good too (autos and scouts especially). Every time I'm ahead in a rumble match with halfdan someone will whip out TLW or AOS. They put on their cheese cannon and I put on mine (my smg hits harder and has better recoil than an AR because that makes total sense...). Then it descends into a cheese meta fest. Whether I win or not, it doesnt feel all that great doing it and it's not what I'm looking for / what I came to do. Best thing to do is just stay away from crucible I guess.

I would like more exotic rifles
-
How about another powerful scout such Polaris Lance would be appreciated. Agreed!
-
Hand cannons are destiny's signature weapon
-
For me there is never enough hand cannons or scouts.
-
Agreed. I’m an auto rifle player and Bungie seems to have called it a day after Breakneck, which is a shame because that basically means that’s all I use anymore. Here’s hoping Opulance will have a decent auto that isn’t locked behind some stupid challenge (or God forbid the raid).
-
Not enough good ones.

Edited by l09047: 6/9/2019 9:01:31 PMdestiny is a casuals game ttk of the 720 auto rifle is .8 with 10 crits ttk of a 150 hc is .8 with 3 crits it's significantly easier to land 3 accurate shots in 1 second than it is to land 10 accurate in 1 second (and the wild inconsistency of auto rifle recoil only reinforces how much easier hc's are to use). let me make this clear. It is significantly easier to hit 3 separate small targets in .8 seconds than it is to hit 10 separate small targets in .8 seconds. Since most enemies do no stand still and the ttk's are high you will not get the chance to shoot something that is not moving around allot, especially in pvp. Destiny is a casuals game and not a competitive game as it rewards mediocrity over skill.

The reason for all the hand cannons, is Bungie's fixation on pvp.
