My Guide to Fixing this Broken Mess we call Multiplayer
Here's what shoud be done to help fix this broken mess. Lets start by fixing the two main problems people complain about. Supers and snipers. Back in D1 every weapon type got nerfed for being too good. AR's lost about half there impact, and stability. Shotguns range were nerfed and you start with 2 rounds. Among other various nerfs. Now why should OP weapons in D2 get a pass?
1) Either eliminate supers all together OR put a cap of just 1 super per match, per player.
2) Snipers start off with only 1 bullet. If they commit suicide to keep there k/d + spawn them with no special.
3) Either un-nerf Shotguns and AR's. Or nerf pulse rifles to bring them back down closer to the rest of the weapons.
4) Limit to 1-2 how many kills a player can get with there special ability ie Titan Shoulder Charge, or even Dodge from Hunter etc
Now for a couple other minor improvements
5) Make all explosive Heavy weapon ammo 1 hit kill, but limit them 1 explosive.
6) Machine gun heavy ammo gets limited to 15-20 rounds. Just enough to kill a couple players, but have to actually aim there weapon to get a kill.
7) No longer be able to pickup heavy after the player drops it.
Because I'm not only thinking of the good players, here's something for new players to multiplayer, or just not as good players in PvP.
8) If a player dies 4 times in a row, have some sort of death streak. Start off maybe with a damage buff of 10% until he gets 1 kill. Maybe starts off with more super energy, after each consecutive death.
Yes this multiplayer is a broken mess compared to even D1. But a few small changes here and there, and it might become fun again, and get people playing it again.
Any other improvements you guys can think of to fix D2 multiplayer?
