The base consisted of a large circular wall, and a large building in the middle. Huge cannons surrounding the base, and an airfield lay south of the base. The base lay in a huge open, area. It was raining, and Phantom warships and carriers hovered in orbit, and in the clouds. K’raiv looked out the window in the c[i]o[/i]ckpit of his personal shuttle. The pilot spoke. “Landing in 10 seconds.” K’raiv nodded, and walked to the ramp, and it lowered. He exited the ship, and moved through the rain, towards the entrance to the base. Someone approached him. “Hey. Remember me?” He turned around to see a captain looking at him, as if he knows him. “I’m sorry, who are you?” “Take a guess.” He looked at the figure, extremely confused. Then it came to him. “Jialoc?” “Yeah. It’s me! Your annoying little brother!” They hugged. “How’ve you been? I haven’t heard from you in years!” Jialoc stood back and held out a medal. “Been doing pretty good. Just got promoted a few days ago.” “Well that’s great. So what are you doing here?” “Just got back from a conference. Heading back to my ship.” “Again, it’s nice to see you again. Well I’d better be going.” He entered the base, and made his way to a small room. Inside was a phantom sitting at a table. “You said you wanted to talk to me?” “Yes. It’s about the planet this moon is orbiting. There’s a race here.” “How powerful are they?” “Not advanced, I’d say they’re still in their stone age. They’re very aggressive. We sent a scouting party of three to the surface, and they attacked immediately.” “Well. Their funeral. Wipe them out.” “Yes sir, I’ll order the attack immediately.” “Good, good.” K’raiv exited the base and returned to his ship. ——————————————————————— Silencersix was hunting down a beast which was seen in the city. It killed two people, and retreated into the wild before the authorities could put it down. Six tracked it down to a desert, it was in a small cave on the foot of a mountain. It was noon, and the sky was clear. Six approached the cave entrance, and equipped his sword of hard light. He had a hand cannon and light machine gun also ready. He entered the cave and prepared to face the beast. The creature was a large, scorpion-like creature. It had blue bioluminescent markings all over it’s body, and four abnormally large pincers. These things were appearing all over offtopic. He activated a flashlight and looked into the cave. He could see the creature from the entrance. He fired a few hand cannon rounds into it, and it charged him. He activated his blade and sidestepped the creature, cutting off a pincer, then cut off one of it’s legs. It used it’s tail to knock him off his feet, and tried to stab him with it’s tail. He rolled out of the way, and cut it’s tail off, then fired a few more hand cannon rounds into the beast. It let out a screech and in one final attempt, tried to jump onto him. As it jumped at him, he stabbed it. When the dust settled and everything calmed down, he found the beast’s body was laying on him, he pushed it off. “*Sigh* Another job well done. How many of these creatures have people seen?” His AI spoke. “About 60.” “Ah, Jesus. This’ll be fun.” “Also. At the edge of the system...” “Yes? More Phantoms?” “Yep. A [i]lot[/i] more.” “Oh, marvelous. Can’t wait...” “Why would you be excited about that?” “It was sarcasm...” He left the cave and returned to his ship.
