BIOS update will be necessary - the fix has been supplied to all motherboard manufacturers and should be rolling out as soon as they can ship an update (hopefully a day or two)!

Hello everyone,
To allow bungie an expeditious resolution to our issues, they need data. The best thing we can do is give them that.
How do we do it?
Go to bliznet and open Destiny 2
Let the game run (it wont open obviously) and open task manager.
In task manager, Destiny 2 likely will not be a separate process and be inside the battlenet application.
In task manger, go to view at the top and click "expand all"
Look for the Destiny 2 applicaiton.
Right click on it, and in the drop down click create dump file.
The dump task manager will tell you where the dump file is. it will be in \<your user name>\AppData\Local\Temp\Destiny 2.DMP
To get there, open file explorer, at the top click view. Then there is a check box that says "hidden items". Click that.
Open your user folder (whatever your account name is) and go to app data > Local > Temp
Look for Destiny 2.DMP
Now, you have your dump. What do you do with it?
Well, try opening the file, tell it windows to open in another app. Select Note pad.
There will be a lot inside of note pad. Select all of it, copy and go to paste bin
https://pastebin.com/
paste it there
Click new paste and copy the link and post it in this thread.
If this does not work, upload it to something like one drive or google drive and create a public link.
