So, especially noticeable on PC, The Recluse is God-tier in the Crucible right now, and in PvE. I don't want to see Bungie nerf it into the ground, so I hope this solution to it's currently broken status gets some publicity and reaches the ears of someone who can take it into account. I also want to clarify I do own the weapon and I did earn it, so this is coming from someone who has played with the weapon a decent amount and am not just whining about it because I don't have it. So please, listen to my solution and see how you feel; a simple solution for making the Recluse a more interesting weapon, make it so you don't get the damage buff if you get a kill with the Recluse, you only get it if you exclusively get a kill with another weapon and then switch to Recluse. Kills with it still refresh the timer, it just makes it so people use other weapons than the Recluse. Because the thing it it's an extremely good SMG even without the buff, and that's why people just run around with it out and then with the damage buff it's unbeatable and puts even the exotic SMGs like Tarrabahl and Huckleberry completely into a state of uselessness. Changing the perk to work as suggested means people feel more inclined to use other weapons on a more regular basis, rather than apeing around with the best SMG in the game, while still keeping the weapon in a solid state of being good, just not keeping it nigh-on unbeatable and forcing you to use it, or loose. Let me know if you agree or disagree with this idea, I just think it's a better solution than just straight up nerfing its range, fire rate or damage and would turn it into a weapon that you actually have to think to use.
