Gaston Lenotre, famous for his pastry, It was different, new and tasty,
Using fruits of passion,
Everyone would say,
“Those pastries were smashin’”
But that was near the end of his day;
And his start wasn’t neat
But, when he made them,
His pastries simply couldn't be beat
Before him there came an old type of pastry That was uninspired, drab and not tasty
So using his skill,
his wit and his will
He opened his shop in the town of Bernay But his success would expand,
Meaning he couldn't stay
In Paris he bought a place to stand;
And rather quickly he did spread
Then almost everywhere had tasted his bread
